“We recently needed to renew my passport and get a new passport for my 2 year old daughter. We made an appointment and came in with the forms printed from online. Winifee was so great and helpful with us. Winifee took the care with us and was so patient , it truly felt like my own mom was helping me. Had we not gone and done this process in person there were a lot of items we filled out wrong on the forms and were grateful for the assistance. In addition to helping us get our paperwork completed correctly, Winifee then also took our passport photos. The whole process was wonderful and we have already received our new passports almost 2 weeks later. I truly don’t know what we would have done without Winifee.”

“I am from out of town and a package that was supposed to go to Pennsylvania ended up at the South Salem Post Office. I have never experienced such excellent service as I did at this post office. Robert helped me track my package down and reroute it to the correct address, which was not simple. He was so kind and helpful, called me back twice, and provided me with an updated tracking number. Did I mention he was a complete and total delight? Thank you, South Salem Post Office!”

Lobby hours are limited (Mon–Fri 8–11 AM & 12:30–5 PM, Sat 9–12 PM), so timing your visit is important. Overall, a solid neighborhood branch. It’s a convenient spot for quick mail drop‑offs and package needs.”

People just have to realize that it is a small post office so people have to be patient if there is a line. “Just had a Hanukkah miracle! We were missing a package and since it was Christmas everything was closed. I called the post office the next day and Kenisha was SOOO pleasant and patient! She help crack the case of the missing holiday package. Hanukkah was saved and one less tween meltdown. THANK YOU so much!!!”

“I've been a long time customer here. Over the years, there have been several very very nice employees who are most helpful, and respectful.However, the was a change in Postmaster general in recent years.Much to my chagrin, there have been NUMEROUS TIMES THAT I myself, (n I've heard from others), that he is significantly rude to some of his customers. That should not be the case, but it's best just to ignore unpleasant people n there actions. (as long as they're not harmful).”
“I find the people that work the windows to be unfailingly polite, helpful and efficient. The USPS has been starved for funds for ages now so if you're unhappy with this post office, write your congressman and advocate for better funding - don't blame the people who do the best they can with outdated equipment, office space etc.”

“Katonah postmaster was terrific, I had an issue trying to forward a business address as we moved. Online service was not helpful and she walked me through it and within 10 days or so the business mail started to get delivered, she was patient and so helpful!”
