“Great selection of new and used books, magazines, and vinyl. The owner was lovely and shared info about the shop’s book club and events. A truly community-minded space. Looking forward to spending more time there this winter.”
“Super cool book shop. Incredible selection of used fiction and classics. Particularly well priced section of used heritage press stuff as well, I snagged a nice folio society edition of Moby Dick for a great price. Other stores tend to tax on that kind of stuff.”
“I really love this little book shop! It’s geared mostly to children but there are books for everyone and Meg has a fantastic collection. She’s helpful, friendly, remembers her clients, and seems to truly love what she does. I’ve found some nice, well written books that I otherwise wouldn’t have heard of if it weren’t for her thoughtfully curated collection. I’m fond of reading a book I’ve found here a few steps away at Jam with a latte. A real gem in the city.”
“Got a great price for my daughter’s old text books , worked with us to get the best price on used text books. Very friendly and knowledgeable!!Thank you for taking the time and being so helpful.”
“Love shopping local and I'm glad I found this bookstore! They have a great book selection and really great quality stationary! Also the service was great! The love person checking me out lead me to the first book of a series I was going do dive into!”
“Started getting my books here after my local comic shop closed. It's a bit of a trek in comparison to my local comic shop but they make up for it with such easy subscription options via the app. You get emails for all your comics well ahead of thyme and they don't harp on you to come in and get your comics. There's plenty of back issues and boxes full of old comics to sift through. Definitely give them a try!”
“I just love this store! You could browse for hours with how many options are available. It is always my go to for new books. If they don’t have it on the shelf they are very accommodating and get it in for you! Staff is always extremely helpful with recommendations and helping you find something.”
“As a culinary connoisseur I enjoyed this cute store tucked away in the Buffalo, NY area. It was small in size but delicately filled with various culinary books and crafts. Would recommend checking out if you’re a foodie like me!”

“Such fun and safe space! I love going to the book club chats when I can and it’s very refreshing to hear different perspectives and find understanding with shared experiences! Kristina has definitely created a great space and book community!”
“Amazing people. Great selection of used titles. The customer service is fantastic and the owners are just gems of humans. Cannot recommend enough. Support this place”
“May Allah bestow barakah in this store. Darul Hikmah is a wonderful store where one can find islamic materials, attire, books, and more. You can also order books from their website.”
“Very friendly customer service and lovely food. Vegan friendly options and so many drink options. Had a deliciously sweet vanilla chai and the Walden sandwich. 💙”
“This has always been the premier rare book store in Western New York and continues to be so. One hopes that the upcoming move to North Tonawanda does not change things, but at least they will have a parking lot.
An update: the collection is bigger and the staff just as helpful. Being able to park in a dedicated lot is very nice.”
“Really great book store that specializes in social justice issues. Along with books it has stickers, cloth bags and very informed employees. Their books tell the unvarnished truth about our country.”
“A great independent book store who provided much knowledge about African American graphic novels. They were especially helpful during the Black Lives Matter movement. I am very grateful for the help they provided and the direction given.”
“What a blessing! A wide assortment of vintage books, CDs and accessories. Ask about the pot of vines on the top of the book shelf!! I did and not only received a on time confirming lesson & prayer from the Bishop, but enjoyed awesome prayer, worship and fellowship with the woman of God tending the store. Money well spent, indeed!”
“My input for Daemen College is from the perspective of a physician who has hired 5 physician assistants who have graduated from this college. It has an excellent program for physician assistants that can matriculate directly from high school or transfer to this school after obtaining a year degree from other colleges or after a bachelor's or Master's degree from other institutions. Students who graduate from Daemen's PA program have a very high pass rate for the board examination (exceeding 97%) and almost all are hired immediately in the Buffalo Niagara area or elsewhere. Clinically, graduating PA's are excellent and immediately able to evaluate and treat patients in clinical practice. Daemen is also great because it provides tuition assistance to almost all of their students in this program to the tune of approximately 11,000 dollars a year. Daemen has been recognized locally, regionally as a top tier institution in training individuals in healthcare professional degrees including physical therapy, nursing, athletic trainers and physical therapy. These programs are highly competitive to get into which makes matriculation quite coveted. Disclaimer: In addition to hiring my physician assistants from Daemen College, I am also on the Board of Trustees of Daemen College. I would be more than happy to talk to anyone who is considering in pursuing a health sciences degree from Daemen College.”
“Who would think you would get a great sandwich in a college cafeteria. I had and 'capicola??' sandwich, prepared by a guy with a great personality, and I absolutely loved it. Great bread, meat, etc. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had.”
“Is selling stolen merchandise. Takes items a customer brings for sale. She keeps them for appraisal. When you telephone to come pick up your cash, she tells you "Thank You for The Donation" . Offers no cash. Keeps your items claiming they were already dispersed around the store or sold. This husband wife team live in a large house and have money. They do not need donations. I never donated anything to them. They stole my items easily worth $150 in sales at their store.”
“Barnes and nobles always has a good selection of reading material with some nice choices of board games, legos and other children's toys. It's nice to have a Starbucks here as well to grab a quick coffee while you browse”
“It’s a nice store with a good selection and the staff is very nice and helpful. My only thing is I use and electric wheelchair and I have a service dog and it was a little hard to move around and I ended up bumping into some tables but one of the employees came over and helped me find my book and get to the register”
“They got rid of the AirPods and speakers in the book store making it almost useless and only good if you want hoodies or shirts. If you need little stuff just go to cvs or riteaid this is kinda overpriced.”
“Expensive University merchandise. Standard choices: jersey, t-shirts, mugs. Closed at 4 pm while many shoppers, mostly parents at orientation, still around. Foregone sales opportunities.”
“I’m grateful that Canisius University’s Bookstore returned the call to me!I was inquiring with regard to Canisius University’s Auto Window decals. I had originally looked Online, but was unsuccessfulfinding anything!Ironically, Canisius University recently sent me a window decal that I can use.I had attended Canisius College for GraduateSchool. There I received my Master of Science in Education, Class of 1985. (But I had completed my requirements in Decemberof ‘84.)I also had gone on to take additionalGraduate School coursework, at both SUNY@Amherst Campus. And at the University ofNiagara University, Graduate School; just to extend my graduate education.I had considered back then to continue my education in a Post Graduate Program for aDoctorate Degree. But decided to changemy mind.Prior to formerly entering both undergraduateand graduate schools, I had also served in the military, during the Vietnam War.I attended undergraduate & graduate schools when I was in my early to late 20s. And, as well, into my 30s when I had attended graduate schools.I also had taught school In grades: K - College, in a variety of academic disciplines. Now into my 70s. I feel Blessed to have achieved such an education!May God Bless all of the educationalinstitutions I had attended!”
“Locally owned shop to purchase Greek paraphernalia! With lots of customizable Honestly this place wasn't the most organized , but the guy knew how to locate everything that I asked with ease. Everything was also reasonably priced. You certainly couldn't find cheaper prices on line. Just as a heads up I am pretty sure that they do mostly customizations for their orders so you might want to get in and order what you want in advance. I particularly appreciated all of the items that they had for Kappa! Yo to the Nupes .”
“This is an excellent store to visit. Lots and I mean Lots of Buffalo State paraphernalia to choose from. The customer service is top notch. The two ladies working at the register are so helpful. I wish I could remember their names but I can't.”
“Typical college bookstore. Almost everything is obscenely overpriced. One positive is that you can order your textbooks online and ship them to the store to save on shipping fees. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by several employees, and asked if I needed assistance. I just handed them my email confirmation, and I was given my books. Easy in and out in less than 15 minutes. You can probably find the books much cheaper online if you look hard enough.”
“A small, independent, neighborhood bookstore with a very well curated selection of books. I’ve started special ordering there— great service. This if the kind of business I just hope flourishes.”
