The candy section was organized but I felt like the rest of the store wasn’t. Also there wasn’t employees on the floor that we saw. There is security at this location as well that checks your receipt before you leave. I think if it was a little more organized this would probably be one of my fav locations. As it is a nice big store.”

Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
