“We got there just before closing on a Sunday night (no they are Not open 24 hours per day) they helped us to get what we wanted before closing.The quality of the product we purchased has gone down a great deal while the prices have gone up and up. Very disappointed in the quality. Not surprised on the prices”
“I can not say enough great things about this little gem of a place. Wish we knew about it sooner. The fresh homemade soups are amazing and the pies are unbelievable.For Thanksgiving my mother-in-law always makes the pies but due to health issues couldn't this year. We asked around and heard about this place taking homemade pie orders. Stopped in to check it out and ended enjoying homemade soup, a great breakfast sandwich and ended taking home a whole pie after placing our order.We ordered 9 pies and 8 were different types of pies and even special ordered one type of pie not on their extensive list. They were so accommodating about what we thought was a huge request and even let us pick up these pies on Wed afternoon before Thanksgiving and they were all FRESH!!! And while grabbing the pies we took advantage of that days homemade soup and had a fantastic dinner that evening with the soup.Talk about a hit on Thanksgiving!! Pies were fresh and delicious. Crust unbelievably flaky and tasty. the whipped cream on the cream pies were incredible and fresh. Not like you get in restaurants but like mom makes. The chocolate cream pie was the best we all had ever hadWe special ordered a custard pie which my mother-in-law always makes and it did not disappoint. It was mother-in-law approved as tasting like she had made it. The best comment from her was she was never making pies again and she wants us to order our Christmas pies from here too!!Truly a fantastic find and can't wait to try one of the fish dinners and their chili everyone talks about.”

“We stopped there today as we are passing through the area. Very clean and inviting. The pizza aroma was more than we could handle. We actually had food in the car for lunch but came out of Pompey with an outstanding meat lovers pizza. Very large and delicious. Around $15.50.I was impressed they had a children's lending library! A great community, family-owned business.”
“I have been going to this place since I was 16 years old. 20 years, still the BEST chicken in town and some of the best prices around. When I have a friend who comes from out of town and wants some wings, Midway is where I take them. Mac n cheese pretty good too.”
“I really enjoy coming here. It's close to my house, the employees are nice, they have a fantastic selection and prices, and the atmosphere is overall friendly and welcoming. They keep their store clean and organized and the employees are more than happy to serve their customers. I just wish hot food was available here. Otherwise, it's better than a convenience store, and they deserve 5 stars in my book.”

“Not your typical mom-and-pop shop, this one is better and the staff is down to earth ? folk...I usually buy a pound of the Carolina Turkey breast which is always nice and fresh and that goes for the ham and roast beef also... I also buy a half of a package of their Swiss cheese, which is deliciously melted on the Carolina Turkey breast with a slice of tomato on a bed of Romaine lettuce?Most of their groceries are reasonably inexpensive, such as the bread ?Check out is usually fast and curtious?April 23, 2022”

“I got a large Cajun Alfredo over penne and a Philly steak sub. For $24 (with a soda), it was a ton of food! Sub was great, I'd like a little more seasoning on it but it wasn't bland, cheese was perfectly melted, veggies cooked perfectly, soft bun, great shaved steak. The pasta was awesome, the Cajun flavor in the Alfredo is wonderful, doesn't need anything. Looking forward to my next visit when I'm in town. As their shirt says, one of Syracuse's best kept secrets.”

“Clean and tidy. This is certainly not a supermarket, so it is a bit expensive. But when you want to eat ice cream and find that it's not in your refrigerator, and don't want to drive to the supermarket, then it becomes a good choice. In addition, if the opposite Chase Bank runs out of coins, I will come here to exchange quarters.”
