“Wonderful shoe store. I always feel genuinely taken care of when I come in here. A previous reviewer said they intended to buy 3-4 pairs of shoes, but walked in there at 5:50 pm when the store closes at 6. How could anyone expecting to be properly fitted for 3-4 pairs of shoes walk into a store at 5:50 when the store closes at 6? Methinks there are weird spammy bots out there. This store is 5 stars all the way.”

“We loved having Locker Room 5 in Lake Placid! As we were part of a Can/Am tournament there were so many skating opportunities for our family and our daughter didn’t bring skates or a helmet. We were able to rent these for a very reasonable fee and the skates were in excellent condition. Having them for skate sharpening was also huge! We own a Sparx and utilize the fire wheel. Normally skate shops don’t carry these rings but Locker Room 5 did!!Our son was able to skate on Mirror Lake in his own skates and then have them sharpened back to his preference before next day games! Thanks to the staff for being our pro shop away from home!”

“my God the ENTITLEMENT represented in these reviews! Did you try actually TALKING to somebody? Not everybody likes to be bothered while they're browsing, especially me... when I need something, I ask. It's simple, and I personally appreciate when sales people give me space to look for what I need, at the same time I don't mind somebody asking if I need help finding something when I'm there for something specific. Regarding security tags, EVERY Walmart DEFINITELY has security tags, and thus security tag removal tools at every check out... even if they don't need to use them in your store, you just wanted a reason to complain... what are you expecting them to do? drive to your house to remove a security tag? Lastly, no the nearest store ISN'T in Albany anymore, and the website is down because they went bankrupt... I didn't think there were ANY stores left, and then Wednesday I was in Burlington Vermont for work and mistakenly drove into the plaza where the store is and saw that it was pretty busy. if I wasn't so tired and still having a 3-hour drive home, I would have stopped in to see if they had the pants I get for work before I left. hope you guys come back to Albany eventually. I bought my very first tent with my own money from my first job, back in the 90s when the store was in Crossgates Mall. I love to go in and do a lap of the store looking for new products. I think my favorite store was the one that was in southern Vermont, it was in an old factory or something that had been turned into a shopping plaza.”
