United States Postal Service

Post Offices , Shipping Centers
Hours: The United States Postal Service (USPS) branch in Lewiston has received mixed reviews from local residents. While some have had positive experiences, with kind and courteous staff as well as reliable mail delivery, others have faced challenges. Many customers praise the postmaster and counter staff for their great work, despite USPS-wide issues like understaffing and outdated facilities. The post office is particularly recommended for those living on the Canadian side, as the nearby Queenston crossing makes it convenient. However, some customers have reported negative experiences, such as issues with the local mail carrier. Complaints include the carrier smoking in the mail truck, littering in the neighborhood, and repeatedly losing important water bills. These problems have persisted for years, with the post office seemingly unable or unwilling to address the concerns. Despite these challenges, the Lewiston USPS branch has also received praise for making improvements. After customer feedback and outreach, the service and staff attitudes have reportedly become much better. The new postal worker has also made a noticeable difference in the quality of delivery. Overall, the Lewiston USPS branch appears to be a mixed bag, with both positive and negative experiences reported by local residents. While the staff is generally praised, the reliability and consistency of mail delivery can be a concern for some customers.
