I’ve lived here 2 years, so far 0 issues. This post office deserves a higher rating than they have. A lot of the negative reviews are people who are just mad about 1 single mistake. The mail is still delivered by human beings and occasionally they will make a mistake. One mistake out of thousands of correctly delivered items isn’t really a good reason to trash your local post office on google in my opinion. They have been nothing but kind, courteous, and helpful in my dealings with them.

I've never had anything but positive experiences with this post office. The workers are very friendly and the delivery person is always very thoughtful and friendly as well. Sure, there are hiccups with delivery sometimes but that usually has nothing to do with the local post office and everything to do with the overall USPS infrastructure. Kudos to the Lewiston post office.

The postmaster and counter staff are doing a great job despite USPS problems with understaffing, old building, and even listing the wrong number.Highly recommend the PO Box option for Americans living on the Canadian side - it's only 5 minutes' drive from Queenston crossing.

worst customer service, will not answer phone, seem to deliberately move at an extra slow pace or disappear completely when customers are waiting in line.

Went in to get collectible stamps cancelled for a hard core USPS music stamps collector (my father in law), and was turned away. Manager is looking for ways to say no. No explanation given other than this could be fraud. Seriously??! Have done this no issues w other post offices. Every time I go into this location, there’s something they can’t do - that is usually exactly what I’m looking for. Avoid, drive on to another location and save yourself some hassle. Terrible service and they don’t care.

EDIT 2-2023I think credit is due where credit is due. I am really happy with the current service from this branch. They changed our postal worker and it’s been drastically better. The staff working in the post office themselves have gotten a lot nicer as well. My first review was very heated and upset since I had been dealing with those issues for years. At the recommendation of my water board I aired the grievances on here. Since calling and talking to representatives at the post office, pleading them to please do something, with all my water bill late fees racking up due to lost water bills. So thank you for doing something about it.Cannot get help here at all. Our mailman is the absolute worst. He smokes in the mail truck so our packages always smell like cigarettes, and he regularly throws his garbage into our driveway and lawn. I have seen him doing so several times. The icing on the cake is our water bill getting repeatedly lost. Which my neighbors are also experiencing. This has been going on for 3 years and no one at this post office will help/ do anything about it. I try to ship UPS as much as I can just to avoid the Lewiston branch.

I had ordered a shirt from the NHL shop. I received notification that it would be delivered on the 23rd of May. I had ordered 2 items so per usual they were sent separately. I received a notice on my phone that the package had been delivered. It usually is put in the mailbox out front,larger boxes on the front porch. When I got home no package nothing. Message on phone said it was delivered in or at my mailbox on the 23rd. No it was not. My second package came on the 25th of May. Lo and behold there was my other package with it. I picked it up and noticed the bag was ripped open in the back. Took them in and took out the inner package. The inner bag was cut open taken out and stuffed back in. This shirt was to be a birthday present. It was delivered to the wrong house. I find it odd that the mail person wasn't able to read English or distinguishnumbers. Now due to incompetence of the individual the present has to be returned. How hard is it to deliver mail to the correct address? I get packages often enough that they should be familiar with the name and address.

Wow I was expecting to need to sign for this.Because we'll I was supposed to!!Instead I found it in my mail box without me signing for my package.So I checked the website out of curiosity.Somehow with my magical powers I signed for a package and was handed it directly to me!!! Imagine my surprise that I was able to do that while in my apartment. And it said the letter carrier handed it directly to me!! I am shocked at my powers.Plus I took the mail that was not mine to the proper location!! Thanks for nothing!!!!

The 1800 # is awful. If you breathe or if a bird chirps outside the automated system goes crazy. There’s no direct way to talk to an actual person and won’t accept any of my tracking #s. This is why I use UPS instead for packages.

Absolutely the worst customer service post office I have ever dealt with. I have complained since 1 October 2021 that I am not receiving my mail. It is now November 9, 2021 I am still not receiving my mail. I applied for a new license from the DMV never received my license. I had to go to the DMV and request another license they are going to send it to the DMV office and I have to go pick it up . I also had problems with my bank card not being delivered to my house I had to go to the bank at the bank they told me they would have it sent to their office and I can pick it up at my local branch. When you call to ask for help nobody answers the phone. When you go and talk to them in person they look at you like you’re some kind of alien . Whoever is in charge of the Lewiston New York post office should be fired immediately.

Absolutely horrible. They said they can't find my address that is clearly marked. FedEx, Amazon and UPS have no problem finding my address that is clearly marked

Tracking says "Customer not available or business closed - Please contact local Post Office to pick up or reschedule delivery". I've been standing here looking out my window waiting for this package. Delivery driver put 3 other small packages and 2 envelopes in tbe mailbox, but not this. There was no slip with contact information or anything like I've received when I lived in my old town. Clearly the driver missed the package and they lied. How to contact local post office to confirm package will be there while I travel there to pick up? Only 800 USPS number available publicly and no way to connect to local office from there. It is Saturday and now I must go there 2 days from now hoping it is there. I order online to avoid going out...Shouldn't be surprised considering this is the same town where a USPS worker was caught dumping hundreds of pieces of mail instead of delivering them.

I needed to buy some postcard stamps and stopped by this post office since I was in the area. Luckily there was no line and the friendly employee was able to take care of the transaction quickly. On the wall they have a list of post masters names that go way back more than a century.
