“Passing through town. Got a couple of subs from here and they were awesome. Much better than Wegmans subs. The roll was better. The meat actually had flavor (boar's head!) and the ratios were right on. Ate at the nice shaded picnic table outside. A+!!”
“Wonderful community based grocery store. The store is always clean and well stocked with all your needs. Prices are in line with other local stores of much larger size. The staff in the deli / bakery / and prepared foods is always very helpful and great at making some dinner selections. The store has added a few self-checkout line which is fantastic and showing that they want to be in tune with the changes in our shopping needs.”

“This place is cute! Stopped in for the first time today, and I was impressed! It's clean, well stocked, and organized. On the way in one of the cashiers offered my daughter a sticker. I'm so used to Wegmans, which is a powerhouse, that I was shocked to see how few registers they had up front. But the lines were not long. They have a good sized produce section, a deli, and a bakery. (Apparently they make the donuts from scratch!) I picked up a few of those to try, and they were delicious. In the back by the bakery is a cute little floral department. Spring gnome decorations were EVERYWHERE, and my daughter thought that was just THE BEST. There is also a pharmacy nestled right in the middle of the store. Prices were a bit more expensive than you'd find at the "big box" stores for many items, but I saw quite a few that were price comparable or cheaper. They've got some great day of the week deals (like sticks of butter on Tuesday, a half gallon of milk on Friday). I also loved the signage - they tagged gluten free, dairy free, heart healthy, and sales were easy to spot. For being a smaller store, they also had a pretty great selection of specialty items! There was a good 4ft sized section in produce devoted to meat free and dairy free right up front. I definitely plan on going back to try out more of the baked goods, and the pizza slices smelled delicious, too!”
“The one and only DG I can find within a 30 miles radius that is actually clean, stocked, and not falling apart. It makes me feel welcome and cared for as a customer, whereas other stores feel eery and uncared for. The staff here are all unique yet kind and helpful. Some people like to say the manager is rude, but in all my experiences visiting the store, Summer is kind and one hell of a worker. The only time I see her being “rude” is when a customer deliberately chooses to not listen or use competence. Honestly my only issue with this store is that they are almost always out of the citrus vitamin waters, maybe they should have more delivered.”

“Went in tonight for a late night snack and was met by the wonderful lady working the self checkout (i didn't catch her name unfortunately) she told us about the tops card and helped with getting us some savings. Shes a wonderful lady and ive never left without a smile on my face due to her and this amazing store. P.s please give this angel a raise!”

“Watch marked sale items. Read them carefully, some items are tagged but not included in sale. Some timeframes are expired, or not in effect yet. What remains is positive. Product coverage, convenience, friendly staff and customers.”
“Usually have a great experience here. Had to add cash on a card and the cashier was new and hadn't been taught how to do it and he was the only person in the store. Definitely a security risk, as well as poor customer service. Especially when they're open til 10pm. Also a customer came in without a mask and cashier was concerned about confronting him, as he had no manager to back him up.”
“With limited stores in the town of Avon, the dollar General is a one stop shop fo so many things. Some groceries essentials( milk, bread and eggs) cleaning supplies and so many other random items at a great price. A few racks at an even higher discount 70% off, lots of near expired items or discontinued products. I found a few nice deals on snacks and other quick grab and go options. Lots of seasonal items near the entrance.”

“great store large cheap selection however not many monkey items but you wouldn’t expect it because it’s not a monkey type of store only reason i leave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the manager lady is kinda mean.”
