Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve is a beautiful and peaceful park on a scenic peninsula. It offers miles of trails for walking, jogging, hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing across diverse landscapes of woodland, meadows, rock shoreline, and salt marsh. Activities include fishing, bird watching, nature photography, and visiting the beautiful gardens. The park features nice wide paved walking trails, a main loop of about three miles, and clean bathrooms. It is great for casual biking and walking, with fields, woods, and shoreline to explore. Visitors should note that ticks are frequently a significant concern, with many warning signs posted. No pets are allowed.
An absolute treat for families, walkers, swimmers, bikers and hikers. Have been here a dozen times and will be back here many dozen more.
