“I was greeted with a staff member dance challenge which I engaged and it left me with a smile and happiness. As a person of color when entering certain spaces there is an innate tension that ‘this will be THAT day’, so having a welcoming staff eliminates that concern and makes shopping an enjoyable experience. Perhaps sharing a love of pets helps remind people to lead in kindness. My Grandpupee’ (pu-pay) Huey was the recipient of those feelings with a much more generous budget.

“The critters in this store are well cared for, happy and healthy.Mark...the owner never minds when we come to look at his collection. He is very patient.Many years ago we bought a fish tank and some community tropical fish.I think he even does children's birthday parties too.Needless to say...it's a little noisy in there...but that is part of the fun.”

“This wonderful grooming establishment always does a great job with my two doggies. This is quite literally the best haircut they have ever gotten in their lives. I fully trust their groomer to clean them up and give them whichever haircut is best for them. She always does a wonderful job. My doggies are always happy and energetic when I get them back. Everything being done to the doggies can be seen right from the lobby, which also has a multitude of healthy dog treats and food, as well as cute clothing. I absolutely love the hairstyle that was chosen for them this time around. Best grooming in town by far. They even gave my doggies little pigtails and bow ties.”

“I was desperate to find a place for my son Norton . I cut not work the app . And is the great place I can bring my service dog a wonderful chihuahua since I can walking him so much. This was a blessing I found in line the hotel I call and they were courteous and helpful not expensive they give a taxi service as a very small fee must tell you the love care was above my expectations . They walk him and play with him is video and constant up date he play with the other dogs is not word to express my gratitude he never would be care by some other place. I’m thanking and praise Andrea and the whole staff.❤️? ?”

“Absolutely 100% legit place. We text Amanda and she was absolutely amazing! Not pushy at all. She sent us a bunch of beautiful pugs until we found the right one. I was definitely concerned and worried since we weren't unable to see the dog in person before picking her up. We received a bunch of photos and a video of my sweet pup. The process was very quick and setup great. We had to watch a video and take a test before getting our puppy which I was honestly impressed by. I figured if they made you do all this I'd be shocked if it was a scam. I received a ton of texts from Amanda with constant updates and we even got to pick up the dog earlier than I expected. The price was definitely the best out there considering how expensive dogs are nowadays. When I was handed my puppy I was given all the paperwork and necessary info and stuff needed to get her setup and started with all her shots. She came immaculate, clean no bugs, no cough, no issues, was given 100% clean bill of health. She is now 5 months old and we couldn't be happier with our experience and with the dog we picked. We can't wait to get another one lol. Definitely the right place to go and you will not be disappointed. Trust me we wanted to see the dog before getting her and we weren't able to BUT I did go into several puppy stores and my dog was way better taken care of, we got more out of our sale, and a way better dog and price. I would recommend everybody buying from Best Puppies. You won't be disappointed.”

“Owner is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly! He is a legitimate reptile lover! He was also extremely patient with me and answered all of my questions. The reptiles here are very well taken care of. I had purchased a crested gecko from them around a year ago and he hasn't shown any signs of illness, has a great appetite, and is full of energy! This place also has a pleathora of feeder insects and rodents. Truly a one-stop shop for all reptile enthusiasts or for anyone looking to get into the hobby!”

“I have been buying from this store since it's inception... The friendly staff is knowledgeable about the merchandise and high end dog food. Miriam the groomer is wonderful, she treats my corgi with love and the cost is comparable . I needed a leash and harness for my Corgi who is difficult to fit. Sean ( the owner) immediately assisted me and presented a set that fit perfectly. So if you aren't happy with the prices I suggest that you try PetCo. Renting a store in BayTerrace is extremely expensive probably equivalent to Manhattan rates. I don't mind paying a little more for the customer service and quality merchandise. Thanks Sean! I can't say enough good things about Joe, the dog trainer at Petco Baldwin. He truly goes above and beyond—not just for the dogs, but for their families too. Joe is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about helping both pets and owners succeed.
What really impressed me was how he took the extra time to work with the grooming department to help them understand how to handle my deaf puppy. That level of dedication is rare and so appreciated. John from grooming was also fantastic, compassionate and handled my Lovey with care and confidence.

“First of all the staff was incredible!!! That loving and caring and respectful and are really concerned about the animals finding a good and forever home! His name is originally Homer, who we're now trying to rename him Honey Boy. We got him for my mother who's 87 years old and really needed a very companion and she chose him. Is 8 years old, he's blind, and just a bundle of love.They did a full vet thing with him and dewormed him a couple of times Plus they chipped him and provided so many other services for him. And they have very very reasonable adoption fees.He seems to be real happy and his new home and we're really happy with him I want to personally thank North Hempstead animal control keep up the good work!!!!”

“Brought my six month old golden doodle in today for her first haircut. I was nervous since it was her first time and I had never used the grooming services here, but I was lucky enough to get the most amazing Groomer, Nicole, and both my dog and I had the most excellent experience. Nicole was so sweet and you can tell right away she had such a love for animals, and my dog took right to her. The haircut came out incredible and my puppy looks so cute and she was even licking Nicole when it was time to leave so she definitely had a wonderful first haircut experience!!
