Fine if you just need some staples but I would avoid the produce and prepared foods. The very first thing I saw when I walked in was mold all over the strawberries and other fruit. I really can’t comprehend grocery stores not keeping up with food safety.

Very impressive market, the produce department was the largest of any store I know with more choices of fresh vegetables and fruits that were at prices that beat any Riverhead shops. I found the employees and checkout staff very friendly. I brought home enough dinner with 4 people for $28.00.

This place is horrible!! Unfriendly nasty rude and very overpriced I would rather go to king kullen where it’s a pleasant place to shop without feeling uncomfortable. The manager is not considerate and the staff are not well trained. I wouldn’t recommend this store go handy pantry it’s better and friendlier atmosphere. Also take notice how if you ask someone a question no one wants to help you and everyone works on arranging cans and food to face a certain direction. Instead of helping people they’re just a bunch of very odd workers who obviously are there for the pay check. Beware of the deli. My kids got sick from the cold cuts.

The quality of the produce is often terrible. We live about a mile away, but always choose to grocery shop in Riverhead where the prices are cheaper, the quality is much better and there are more selections.
