This Trader Joe’s is for people who want to feel rich without actually being rich. Everyone is calm, polite, and quietly convinced they are making excellent choices. We read labels. We nod. We say things like “Wait, I actually needed this,” knowing full well we absolutely did not.
The staff is suspiciously pleasant. The snacks feel cultured but affordable. You leave with a reusable bag, no regrets, and the belief that you are doing just fine.
Five stars for affordable sophistication and emotional stability.”

“This Hannaford is among the best stocked and quickest, most easily accessible stores in the area. Everyone is super helpful and they have what you need! I asked the bakery manager if they could change where they put the sticky labels on half loaves of bread. It made it impossible to open the bag without tearing it apart. They actually did it and I'm sure I'm not only grateful customer! Thanks guys!”

“I stopped by today again and they had more stuff on the shelves. I got a couple things cookies and these they weren't chips they were shaped like onion rings but they were like cheesy poofs but they were made with Parmesan cheese and a sour starch. My roommate will eat those I will eat the yummy cookies. The person I believe was that the cash register is the owner of the store. And they have the newer system so you can get an email of your receipt which I like. They'll be opening a bakery with for Breads and stuff. It looks nice I can't wait till they have baked goods.”
“Decent selection given size and location. Been getting groceries here for the last 10 years. Staff is friendly enough given that it is one of the first places some people get a job. Good place to get your basics. This isnt walmart or market32, this is a local grocery store. The produce is good, meat looks fresh and they got most of your basic supplies.”

“Ellen, the pharmacist at Price Chopper, is a lifesaver. I was flustered because we could not get an important seizure med for my dad. He had been in the hospital for 7 days due to a severe seizure. We were sent home in this medicine but had not been able to get it for over 48 hours. I was worried he would have another seizure. Many other pharmacies were not able to get it. She was able to find some of the medicine and patiently walked me through all the steps needed to have the rx moved over. I am very grateful for her patience and her ability to find this for us.”

“I was not expecting to be writing a review for Target, but I was so impressed with a recent experience that I felt the need to share. My wife and I were heading to the check-out registers hand carrying just four items and an empty reusable Target bag. There were two registers open with lines of people pushing baskets filled with goods. The self-checkout stations were all busy and a few more customers were on queue there. Just as we stopped to peruse where we would choose to lineup, a voice spoke out to us asking if we were planning to use either a credit or debit card. As we turned to the voice speaking, we observed an employee standing at a small table amongst some clothing displays holding a portable, wireless, credit card terminal. We responded in the affirmative to using a credit card and she promptly checked us out and provided a printed receipt. Two minutes and we were on our way. It wasn't the technology that amazed me, I first saw this over twenty years ago in Europe, it was the customer service. Recognizing that we had few items and our own bag for carryout, this employee singled us out for a quick and easy checkout process. Thank you, Target store manager, for effectively managing your staff. During this current time of difficulty finding workers, I should also mention that I was impressed with the number of employees I saw throughout the store stocking merchandise. This was quite refreshing.”

“The reason the naysayers complain is that they have no idea what true beef jerky is. They think it’s some soggy Jack crap made out of who knows what. This is true beef jerky that one moistens with their own saliva until it is soft and savors the flavor. It’s all about instant gratification these days. God only knows what preservatives the “big” companies need to add to make their ground meat appear to be true jerky. Two thumbs up to this jerky company!!!”
“Overall, not a bad experience. Aisles a little cluttered. A few U-boats of merchandise around the store, unattended - they should be back in the stock room if no one is unloading them, to make room for the customers. I found everything I needed and then some. Friendly guy at register, although did not have a Dollar General uniform or nametag on (3/14/26 around 3 - 4 PM).”

“I door dash as a second job and I must compliment the Troy,New York Dollar General . Jessica or Melanie has been such a big help in the past and currently still very helpful with everything. She is kind has great customer service and keeps the store in shape. She is very motivated and egar to help the customers even if it doesn’t have to do with purchasing products at the store I know from experience she’s a breath of fresh air. She sets a great example for the other employees in the capital district. The store has been very cleanly and is always stocked. As I said I door dash for a second job and have been to most of the dollar generals in the area and even out of state this is the best one this far. Keep up the great work and thank you for all your help.

“Zachary who was my cashier was amazing and spot on. Nice young man. Did good by his line. The bakery staff person helped me on Father’s Day for 2 pastries for my husband. I hate to say this but supervisor on at 4:00 pm - 4:15pm lacks professionalism and was so rude and intimidating to the women in our line as well as several staff. Groceries are too expensive for that! SJ was his name. Ooof. He is unfriendly and seems angry.”
“Both my wife and I got saratoga lake and liked how all the sandwiches were named after lakes from New York. I enjoyed our sandwich and I liked that they had a fresh deli with weekly specials as well. It was definitely a place to remember for a proper deli style sandwich. We both plan on returning soon.”
