“This place is WAY over the top. It would take days to go through everything this place has for sell. That includes all the statuary and misc items outside. Inside the barn structure are 4 floors and a basement FULL of all imaginable curiosities from days past. Many items are in staged scene rooms which also adds to the interest. There is even a plane suspended in the building. My only big gripe about this place is that the prices are over the top expensive for most items. Most items can be sought elsewhere for much cheaper, but if you happen to come across that one item you just can't live without then it's worth it. Furniture items are more or less market retail while the curiosity pieces tend to be the ones that are so expensive. Still love going to browse, never gets old.”
“Great antique shop that has a unique selection of varied items of interest. As a bonus feature, there is a drum museum below with 100 year old kits that you can play. As a drummer and antique dealer myself, this place had it all!!!”
“Absolutely outstanding. Must see!!! It's a whole farmhouse filled to the brim with all sorts of things. It's impossible to throughly good everything in one trip. I will be back.”
“This property looks like it used to be a department store, but I found a small display in a corner of the store that says it used to be a factory for clothing going back over 100 years. It is now a multi-vendor antique/collectible store. It is really fun and interesting to browse. Some items can be expensive, and others are reasonable- it all depends on the seller. One thing is for sure, there is a TON to look at here, and spread across multiple floors. FYI it is not handicap accessible; you will not be able to view the upper floor if you are in a wheelchair. There is free popcorn, which is kind of a neat gimmick, and I really appreciated it. It might keep your kids quiet long enough for you to do some hard-core browsing. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.”
“HISTORIC LILLY HOUSE
'Wilshire Square' - Santa Ana, California
September 2018
Converting a 3'x6' closet into a half bath in an historic 1930 Spanish Colonial Revival home required some effort to ensure that the project was architectural consistent and looked as if it had always been there. New York Salvage came through above and beyond for the project. A 1932 Kohler corner sink, a vintage ceramic wall-mount toilet paper holder and a glass and chrome wall shelf made their way from the east coast to southern California. Packed so well they could have fallen off the truck on the highway and shown absolutely no damage whatsoever. Knowledgeable staff that knows their stuff. Highly recommended.”
“This is a very inviting store with a variety of vintage, antique and new items. From collectible cars and trains to soaps & lotions, earrings, nostalgia, trinkets and fine jewelry. She has just about everything and it's beautifully displayed, not cluttered or dirty as in some antique shops. The best part is she is friendly and knows her stuff. It was a pleasure to speak with her and she gave us other points of interest and shops to look for along our travels. We purchased a toy replica cannon and a very adorable set of bird/chic salt & pepper shakers. Prices are reasonable and she is willing to negotiate. A very wonderful place to shop!”
