“I can't recommend Symphony enough. The first time I took my cat here, we came to the awful conclusion that we would have to put him down, and despite being a first time patient, they treated him and me as if we had been a part of the Symphony family for years. Every step along the way, they gave me all the information with the perfect mix of empathy and pragmatism, and gave me as much time as I needed to process emotionally and think. They are also very transparent about pricing and understand that the cost of care can be a major factor in what kind of path forward is possible. A general check-up was $110, cheaper than a chain like Bond and with 100% more care and humanity in every interaction.”

“Dr. Cassandra Ring is the best veterinarian my Willow had, yes had, because he passed away on 5/6/2026 at the office. She and my family were by his side, but she cried as if Willow was her baby. Our Willow, Pitbull mix was 16.5 years old. The office personnel were also in tears, as they said goodbye to Willow with us. Finding such empathy is unique, this office has it, our hearts are devastated by the transition of our beloved Willow, at least he knew such beautiful love. They handled everything for us❤️”

She squeezed me in to see my two newly adopted cats when I found out one of them was given to me sick. She examined them both and prescribed medicine, taking the time to teach me how to administer and tips on how to keep the cats calm and how to prevent myself from getting scratched! She has since been very kind to answer all my follow up worry some questions and has also taken care of my dog. If you’ve been searching for a vet, I highly recommend you put your trust in Dr. Pozo!”

Our pup is usually very nervous at the vet and takes a long time to warm up to new people, but Ashley had biscuits and was incredibly patient, gentle, and compassionate from the moment we walked in. She took the time to make our dog feel safe and comfortable, and by the end of the visit our dog absolutely loved her. The doctor was also amazing — thorough, kind, and very understanding of our dog’s anxiety. Together they made what is usually a stressful visit into such a positive experience. You can truly tell they care about both the pets and their owners. We are so grateful for the kindness and professionalism we received and highly recommend this hospital to anyone with a nervous or shy pet.”

No exceptions, which is rare. - Facility is kept immaculate without feeling sterile. - Very transparent pricing. - Their “Fear Free” handling can really make a difference, especially for older or vulnerable cats that can actually get sicker from stress. - Management and staff have always been responsive to even minor feedback. - Handling of insurance is seamless. Never have to even think about it. After 5+ years of having 3 cats at Heart of Chelsea (2 routine/healthy cats, one who went through an uncommon illness) we couldn’t be happier and have never been disappointed. It’s a 25 minute trip for us, but easily worth it. If you want to keep a healthy pet healthy, or have excellent, expert care for an aging or ill pet, I highly recommend Heart of Chelsea. “Dr. Jakimer is a genuinely kind person and an excellent veterinarian. He takes the time to explain everything in detail and makes sure you understand what is going on with your pet. When my dog needed an ultrasound, he was very quick to arrange an in-house ultrasound and made the whole process much less stressful. What really stood out to me was that he called several days later just to check on Decues and see how she was doing, which I thought was incredibly thoughtful and kind. He is always helpful and willing to answer any questions or concerns I have. You can truly tell that he cares about his patients and their families. “Fully recommend Dr Chang and the Westside Veterinary team. It’s hard to find a vet that feels local in NYC (especially with so many chains popping up), but Westside is an exception. They really do care about their patients. Dr Chang is incredibly knowledgeable, she always takes the time to explain/answer questions (even when you have many)! Dr Chang and Westside also helped our family navigate the hardest part of pet ownership- emergency hospitalization and eventually end of life care. The team was gentle throughout, it was clear they genuinely cared about our cat and helping us make the best decisions possible. It made a really horrible moment slightly better, which we will always appreciate.”

“Animal General is the best vet on the UWS and possibly in Manhattan. They are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and care so much about the animals. They saved the life of our kitten two years ago, and he's still going strong! We brought him in for a check up and everyone on the office flocked to our kitty to show him love because they still remember that day when I came rushing in with after he suffered a head injury. He went through so much over his 17+ years—epilepsy, injuries, viruses, even a serious eye injury that had us coming in every day for months—and everyone there was always so kind, patient, and professional. They treated him like family and always took the time to explain what was going on and make sure we both felt okay. Losing him has been really hard, but it’s comforting to know he was looked after by such dedicated, caring people. I’m so grateful for everything they did for him (and for me).”

“We can’t thank enough to the wonderful team of Dr. Paul Schwartzreich. My cat, Hydrox, got seriously infected after a fight with another animal in April. She was brought to Dr. Schwartzreich with bad skin abscess which was then treated properly with great attention. Denise, who performed after-surgery care and bandage changing was exceptional. She went above and beyond to make sure the wounds were healing in a good manner. The appreciation also goes to other nice people in this clinic, including but not limited to Maria and Amanda in the front desk, and Juan and other staff who worked behind the scenes. Hydrox is still in the process of slow recovering but we are confident for a faster recovery with Dr. Schwartzreich and his team by our side.”
