“Sweet little authentic thrift store. Helpful, kind staff.Truly a thrift store, not like the corporate stores pretending to be thrift stores, looking at you Goodwill.”

“My sisters and I thrift all over the city, and this is one of the very best places. Very well organized, fair prices, and some wonderful unexpected finds - on top of which Tanya, the owner, is the bomb.”

“This is an amazing thrift store with fantastic treasures! I’ve gotten new or practical brand new clothes here, suits for work, dresses, sweaters & coats. They also have housewares and men’s clothes, too.Among my finds were a new with tags Banana Republic suit, a Theory dress, and Eileen Fisher pants. All of the items were in good shape. The staff are friendly & kind!”

“As a basic used goods thrift shop, Upper EastSide offers basic essentials with a decently sized inventory. There is a good amount of variety in inventory including apparel, home decor, entertainment, and miscellaneous items, although nothing that interesting really stood out to me. That said, prices are quite fair compared to some other thrift shops throughout the area.Inside, walking space is tight and the floor is a little messy. It did feel a little uninviting while perusing, though, as the store was completely silent without any ambiance whatsoever as not even background music played to fill that void.”

“I love this thrift store. It’s so cute I have been frequenting this place for years . Today T he staff was extra nice. Merle was very accommodating, and even helped me carry my stuff to the car. I will be back more frequently. They have a great variety of stuff.”

“Love this place. Lots of super-cheap clothes. My advice on how to shop is to make three or four rounds just to make sure you didn't miss anything. Friendly staff, good vibes here. Also, I thought it worth adding that I've been to plenty of bigger, chain resale shops in NY and NJ like Unique, 2nd Ave Thrift, and this place is better. It's clean, rotates stock, and is far more pleasant.”

“The best of them all, hands down. The nicest people coupled with fair pricing, all to help the community. In terms of luxury items, like all thrift stores, it is like finding a needle in a haystack. I did find a pair of Versace pants that were priced up but sells new for $800, so that needle could be a small treasure. One caveat, very little men's clothing, small section mixed in with kids, but for all other things... come here, go green and make a difference in the community.”

“This shop is a hidden gem!! I went to four other thrift stores before stumbling into this gold mine! I bought a beautiful pair of lamps, plus two sets of side tables I didn't know I was looking for until I saw them! They have high quality merchandise that is reasonably priced! The energy was sweet and welcoming! I love it there!”

“For secondhand clothing, the UWS is replete with stellar options {Housing Works on W 74th, Housing Works on W 96th, Unique Boutique on W 83rd, St Francis Thrift Store on W 96th = all excellent options}. UES has great thrift options too: Unique Boutique on E 94th, Housing Works on E 90th, Goodwill NYNJ on E 88th, & there’s another one in East Harlem}. Once you step in and see how current and high quality the pieces they have are, and for such bargain prices (plenty of great pieces between $5 - $20), you’ll basically never shop new again. It’ll change the way you shop in nyc.Housing Works on 74th & Columbus —this one in particular has some terrific designer fashion finds; it also has a very cool home-wear section and some collectible pieces that are sold off on an auction basis. It’s very very cool. You can find some really stellar finds at excellent prices at both of the Unique Boutiques on UWS and UES.”

“PROS: The people in here are nice and it's very clean and organized. they have many sections to choose from that range for people of all ages. CONS: They only accept cash up to $25 and parking is limited to street parking. It's also cramped inside overall: if you were in the area you should stop on in. Their prices are low for some items and high for others, just depending on what you're looking for as well”

“Great selection of clothing, home goods, and other miscellaneous items. They started to carry plants as well. Def a gem in the neighborhood with affordable prices!”

“I normally donate tons of expensive stuff here and the ladies working there are super nice. Today though (12/26/2023), there was a white older woman who was a witch! Mean and rude! I have never seen her there before but I hope to never see her again. If she is volunteering, she should just stay home and avoid working with people since she doesn't seem to know what customer friendly means. Super cranky and horrible attitude!”

“Staff is very nice and willing to help you with pricing questions. Thrift store is on the smaller side with the majority of the space being used for women's clothing/shoes. There is a smaller room for men's clothing/shoes and another room for houseware and small furniture pieces. Treasures can definitely be found at a great price. Store had dozens of nice coats and leather jackets.”

“The shop had a variety of items from guitars to tea sets, all in relatively good condition. Lots of jewelry, a whole box in fact. It's a small shop, and the prices are reasonable.”

“Entering this historic home containing 3 amazing rooms is like entering a museum with its finely curated assortment of china, glassware, crystal, accessories, lamps, artwork, jewelry, furniture, tools, handmade artistry, and so much more too numerous to mention. One will walk out with an armful as the prices are unspeakably modest for the superb quality offered. This shop is a treasure trove of goods which run the gamut from historic, vintage, one of a kind, rare finds to contemporary. Plan to spend time just looking and recalling nostalgia. The shop offers a special sale each month highlighting an inventory of items brought in each week by generous donors and liquidated estates. There is something for everyone, but definitely a must see. The shop, now under new management, has a unified group of dedicated volunteers with a keen eye for interior design. Each room is staged with a theme of items organized and categorized neatly making it buyer friendly. Please visit a most welcoming venue for old and new and everything in between. Knowing that all proceeds from sales go to St. Gregory the Enlightener Armenian Church is satisfying. This shop has it all but mostly, you will love what you see every Thursday afternoon from 12-4pm and announced monthly Saturdays. It's such a treat!”

“The fact that a donation center has bad reviews is a mystery to me. 5 Star service. Excellent customer service. If there is no parking in the small lot, you can park on the street. Easy in and out.”

“The staff is great... And contrary to other reviews, they will give you a receipt once you donate. You just have to ask and they will. I donate and shop there often. Love it!”

“Very large selection of clothing. Mostly reasonably priced. Some good brands. I found clothing that I needed for my kids' costumes for a play here, after I made some minor adjustments. Not as good of a selection on the home goods side.”

“Unfortunately a lot of items don't have price tag, it seems a recurrent issue from certain customers that frequent this location that remove the price tags in order to exchange them with a lower price tag. I hope Mgmt. can identify the culprits, it makes the entire shopping experience somewhat dull, from not purchasing the item or pay a full price when this could have been a discounted item. I suggest them to stapple item better and identify clients that are persisting with these practices. Overall things are organized, good illumination.”

“A true thrift store. It can be harder to shop if you have specific size needs for clothing, as there doesn’t seem to be a organization system really. I’ll always show up here anyway though!”

“This is a donation center where you can leave your donations . The store itself is a typical Salvation Army store where what you find depends on what is in stock on that day. I enjoy making donations of my gently used items.”

“Great stuff to find. Service is usually good but this time we ended back of the line over and over again because we had a huge shoppingcart full. So bad service this time unfortunately. But it's for a good cause and I love shopping here.”
