“****UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNER***When I entered store a staff member approached me and asked if I needed help. I asked if you sold comics. He took me to the back and said “the comics are here” I asked where the new releases were as it was a Wednesday and I know new releases were delivered that day. He pointed to the other side of the room and said “new comics are probably over there.” Upon investigation I saw only older seemingly archived books boarded and wrapped. No shelf with this week’s releases. I figured this was all that was available and left.If indeed you do sell new releases weekly as the store has in past I’d be happy to return and shop.*****Great selection. Well stocked and friendly. Unfortunately they dont sell current comics,as their emphasis is not comics but collectibles. I only say this because the former owner (I hadn’t visited in years) sold current and weekly released comic selections.”

“A fantastic experience run by good people. Don't let the small footprint fool you - this place is stacked with comics, collectibles, and gaming stuff. So much awesomeness. And as someone who's relatively new to comics, I couldn't feel more at home - the crew is wonderful. So kind, patient, helpful, and eager to share this world. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Friendly shop, even if you don't know exactly what you are looking for. I've been in a few times for a new kippah, a netilat, and a few heavy-on-the-transliteration books (there aren't many, but the staff has a preternatural way of knowing exactly what you are asking for.) My dad was from a Jewish family, my mother is not, but the people at this store have been open and understanding of my personal journey as someone hoping to end up a Noahide if I can't fully bring all of the commandments into my life. What really blew the top off of my head was when I brought my 4-year-old daughter in on a Thursday afternoon (it was also Yom HaShoah, I only realized later). Everyone was very kind to me (me, the guy in a hoodie, jeans, and a hockey ball cap) and his preschool aged daughter in a skort and shirt, no leggings because she is having an issue with the way they feel right now. There was an air of friendliness in the store, even though I briefly felt that I had walked into something different from what I had experienced before. Rather than judgement or negativity, I found openness and flexibility. Along with an Artscroll transliteration , I ended up coming home with a kosher board game for my daughter, inspired by both the elders with their big beards and the young, as-awkward-as-I-am older yeshivah students. It's awkward walking into any sort of "ethnic" store, but this one continues to be a good experience.”

“This place has usually expensive toys for lower prices. It's a great way to get out of production toys and rare toys you can't find elsewhere. There are also a few vehicles that fit with my model trains that are helpful. The only thing I don't like is that this mall doesn't enforce the mask wearing, so It's unsafe to visit at the present time.”

A BIG Thank You to Kenny, Tyler, Ty and Dauny for making my first experience back to your LEGO store in over 10 years incredible! Keep up the great customer service guys as it is phenomenal! “This is an excellent store if you have children who have parties. They let you buy knickknacks by the piece for a very reasonable price. There are also some decent deals on toys albeit none of them are name brands that you have heard of. A box of knockoff Legos for $12 work as well as the real thing for about 1/4 of the price.”

“Without a doubt, hands down, the best hobby shop I've been to. They support local racers by having a 1/10 turf track and an indoor Mini-Z Race track. I give them all of my business when I can. The guys at the shop are friendly and answer any questions you have, no matter how simple they are. All are welcome at races too, from complete beginners to advanced/pro drivers. Full line of products, from RTRs, Kits, Minis, replacements, upgrades, and most importantly, EXPERIENCE! Go experience for yourself!”

“Absolutely love Pumpkin and Bean. I have been shopping here since my 18 year old granddaughter was only 7 years old. It is definitely my go to for baby shower, birthday, christening and Christmas gifts or simply because I want to treat my other younger grandchildren to quality clothing they can feel comfortable in. Thank you Claire for providing myself andmy family with the best and most friendly shopping experience.”

“♿ The entrance is level. 88cm wide. There's a disabled parking spot outside on Maple St, but if you're getting in and out of the driver's side you'll be in traffic.”

“Hollywood Heros has two things going for it. 1) An amazing, incredible selection of toys, new and vintage. 2) The nicest owners possible. My 12 y.o. son is a huge Star Wars collector, and he discovered HH on Yelp about. year ago. We've gone maybe a dozen times now even though it's an hour round trip. We often find rare and impossible to get items here and if it's not on the shelves, it's probably in their basement, so just ask. We became friendly with Jordan and Val on our trips there, and Jordan has been especially gracious. He always has time to talk, answer questions, and be friendly. Even when we come to just window shop, we still have great talks. Recently my son was looking for an ARC-170 gunship, and Jordan and Val had just gotten one in that had missing parts, and they gave it to my son as a thank you for being a loyal customer. It made my son's month. The store is a block from the central shopping district, so when we go we get bagels or Korean chicken and make a day out of it, or go the few blocks to Trader Joes. I know a Trader Joes isn't a selling point for a store specifically, but as a parent of someone who loves shopping here it's nice to have a cute town that can be part of the experience.”

“There was an employee in here who I don't remember his name but he was a sick dude and he deserves a raise, he convinced me to get the gamestop pro and you know what he's good at his job so make him the manager immediately”

“This toy store looks small and for young children from the outside, but it has an excellent selection of toys and games for all ages! The real treasure is the lady in the store, I suppose she is the owner, as she knows her inventory in and out and can guide any child to find the perfect gift. I brought my son's 11 yr old school friend so he could choose his present, and we had so much fun trying out puzzles, learning about new games. Plus she orders classic versions of board games, such as Monopoly, Chinese checkers, Clue, etc. with the original components. Worth a visit! You won't be disappointed.”

“Been going here since I was little, I remember when Matchboxes used to be sold and displayed in the window. With the new management, the place looks better than it ever has. Very clean, just a good convenience store altogether.”

“The owner is a family man who lives in town. He gave good service and was personable. Some people gave this business a bad wrap, but I feel like it may be because of the language barrier. We will be returning again!”

“First I want to share that your employee Emily is fantastic. You need to hold on to her because she was wonderful with my son and made our experience so nice. She was literally sitting on the floor with my son while he was scared of the stuffing machine sounds. Thank you Emily! We went to buy a new friend for our son to put his pacifiers in and it worked! We were surprised with the nice quality of the stuffed animals and all the options for dressing them. We will be back!”

“I really enjoyed the experience and the knowledge of Tom when consigning my vintage toys with Serious Toyz. There are so many factors affecting the value and desirability of a toy and for each type of collectible, an entirely different set that makes it impossible for the average collector to fully understand. This is where the knowledge and experience of Tom at Serious Toyz makes a really big difference in setting expectations and getting the most for your valued antique and collectibles. I've been buying and selling since 1975 and Tom is tops a reliable and knowledgeable advice and expertise in mostly all categories of vintage and antique toys. Thanks Tom!!!”

“Called around to a few GameStop's and none of them would answer the phone, so i had to go physically and find out that they're neither busy nor do they have what I'm looking for. This place did and the gentleman working there answered the phone promptly.”

“ALYSSA at the paper store was incredibly helpful. I knew this would be a great store for bulk gift shopping. However I needed some direction with what to get for my kids teachers and Alyssa came to the rescue! Super knowledgeable on sales and made wonderful suggestions.”

“So I have recently shopped at Once upon a Child and sold some stuff. Granted I brought in two bins full of items I thought they would want all of it, but they did not. They sorted through everything, all the ladies were really nice. I shopped around while they went through everything. They ended up taking 49 items and I got roughly $51 dollars. Yes some stuff was new with tags still on them, but I honestly think it was fair.”
