I don't know how this branch was run before I started using it (a few months ago), but my experience of this branch has been great! The current manager, Gary, is an awesome guy who is very professional and treats everyone with respect. He does not try to 'sell' me services that do not benefit me as an individual and business owner. I feel very comfortable using this branch and doing business there. Very highly recommend!

KeyBank doesn't care that they have a RACIST Area Manager working for their company named Tim Conway. This area is severely mismanaged, this branch has so many issues from the past reviews as well. The branch manager is literally a puppet to the area manager. TIM CONWAY and his racist agenda to only hire light-skinned, white passing people to keep the staff here as white as possible is horrendous. What's even worse is that HR literally DOESN'T CARE.

Allegedly there is an agenda to ostracize deeper-toned POC from being employed at this specific location. Extremely negative experience with TIM CONWAY, the Area Retail "Leader". TIM CONWAY'S exact phrase during the sit-down when asked about diversity in the community was "He would feel uncomfortable if he walked into a room full of Black Women". I was not made to feel welcome from the second I walked through the door. Tim Conway belittled me, ostracized my presence during the entire sit-down, was extremely disrespectful as he was on his smart watch and phone multiple times and didn't maintain eye contact. He deliberately asked me questions that had no realm in the context of the position I was applying for. When bringing up the topic of diversity in our community and if KeyBank New City is a reflection of that (which it is not since everyone at that location is only reflective of 1 sole racial group, that of Tim Conway) This doesn't surprise me given most of the branch managers of KeyBank all look the same in this area with absolutely no diversity (verified via LinkedIn)). He questioned my character during the interview, assumed and prefaced money is my sole motivator and said things that were inappropriately. His racial micro-aggressions are not tolerated. His behavior is reported to corporate but this is a public space where people need to know that minorities and people of color are apparently not welcome. This is based on the reflection of the staff at this location. There is no other reason for a sales driven, someone with multi-million dollar private client experience to have been brushed off. Especially since this bank claims for their training to be world class and top level. I will not be stepping foot in this location ever again and my perception of KeyBank has forever changed. It is also illegal for an employer to recruit new employees in a way that discriminates against them because of their race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information. For example, an employer's reliance on word-of-mouth recruitment by its mostly white work force may violate the law if the result is that almost all new hires are white. (Source: eeoc.gov/prohibited-empl…).Side note: Yes, I agree with the other review. Now it makes sense that they 'Pick and Choose' who they want to help.

I've only been to this bank twice and both times I have felt they pick and choose which customers they want to serve and which customers they want to give a hard time READ BETWEEN THE LINES

My family and I have been using this branch happily for years. Unfortunately like many banks the staff is periodically rotated and changed. Yesterday I received the full court press the moment I got inside the door. As I made a withdrawal and got an accompanying check he was actually inquiring as to the company I was making the check to? Later in the day I got a call from the bank pushing me to open a savings account I already have. This woman was given my name by this same man. Manny. People do not like the hard sell at their neighborhood bank!!! If I need anything I will let you know
