Mohonk Mountain House is a magical and gorgeous place, offering an amazing experience. The sprawling estate provides wonderful hikes, challenging trails with spectacular views, and a picturesque lake for kayaking, paddling, and canoeing. The scenery is beautiful and spectacular, especially in fall when the changing leaves bring visitors from all over the world, creating a sight of maple leaves as red as fire.
The rooms are vintage, rustic, clean, and well-appointed, often with a fireplace and balconies overlooking the lake. They are meant for rest or romance. The resort is noted for its history, hospitality, and phenomenal food and drinks, described as great, yummy, and resort food with good treats. Included activities are phenomenal, with fun to be had on rustic porches with rocking chairs and by the fireplace.
It is a breath of fresh air, perfect for a breakaway weekend, professional development conferences, or a one-day trip. Visitors highly recommend it, often finding it so beautiful they wish to stay longer and return, as there is often unfinished business to explore. Nearby activities include visiting West Point and local mansions.

My favorite place in the US. It’s got amazing scenery, variety of activities for everyone, and great food. Some rooms are more tired but overall each have something to offer.
