What a gorgeous place. The state is sprawling and has wonderful hikes as well as a lake that offers beautiful views while kayaking, paddling and canoeing. The rooms are small but well appointed, most with balconies overlooking the lake and a fireplace. Fall is the busiest time for the resort as it beings people from all over the world coming for the changing leaves. Great memories!

Mohonk Mountain House is magical. The history, the food, the hospitality; it’s all an amazing experience and I’m so thankful to have been able to visit. The food and activities included are phenomenal and I wouldn’t complain about anything. If you are thinking about staying, just do it. It’s a breath of fresh air in this “modern” world.
Rooms: Rooms are vintage but clean and appropriate for the hotel.

Mohonk Mountain House intentionally creates unsafe situations for hikers by forcing them to walk more than a mile away in order to call a taxi. It is unnecessary and unsafe to force people to walk in the dark by themselves and is of little detriment to guests to let people wait for a car at their entrance. Someone will get hurt and Mohonk Mountain House is to blame.

I have been to Mohonk several times on business trips for professional development purposes and the experience has been incredible everything from the scenery to rustic porches rocking chairs and huge Adirondack chairs, the trails, canoeing, activities and yummy food not to mention the treats. Plus sitting in front of the fire place depending what room you choose. Lots of fun is to be had . I’m hoping to find a way to reach out again but am having a hard time as we have a group with conferences for next year and would like to start setting thing in motion and are looking for a good quiet beautiful place where we can meet and have our break away weekend sessions as we are growing tired our present one and eureka i remembered Mohonk Mountain how could I forget.
Rooms: Rustic, quiet , meant for rest and rest only or romance if your with your special someone. Love the old decor.
Food and drinks: Resort Food , good yummy treat , have no complaints , good food
Noteworthy details: Beautiful scenery, picturesque

We didn’t stay on the same day and came back on the same day. The scenery was so beautiful that we really wanted to stay one night before leaving. We couldn’t help but come with a tour group. It’s really worth a visit and it’s highly recommended. We came here at the end of autumn. The leaves have also fallen a lot, but the scenery is still beautiful and spectacular

Mohongke Villa is a great tourist attraction. The Tianhu Castle in late autumn has beautiful scenery, mountains and rivers, lakes and mountains, and it is picturesque. Looking around, you can see the sight of "maple leaves as red as fire".
In late October, we, a group of more than ten people, chose this place as our one-day trip destination. Because the scenic spot was too big and time was limited, we still had unfinished business and decided to come back next time.

We enjoyed a dining pass and it was worth every cent! It was a wonderful experience for the meal and the best part of the day was the hike to Sky Top Tower. The grounds are amazing and a testament to this family's reverence for nature.

The place is good to visit with a hiking day pass and explore around. They say that hiking pass does not get entry to Mountain House but one hardly checks after getting the main entry to trail. There is a 2 mile walk from trail till Mohonk house, but once you are there you can explore house as well. We did a 5.5 mile trail during Fall season. The colors weren’t great but overall views were amazing. Also, hiking pass fee is $35 per person.

The $1,000+ per night room was small, around 120 sq. ft., and looked nothing like the picture. The location is unbeatable, but the service in the restaurant could be better and beyond what you can expect for the price you pay.

My wife and I went for lunch hiking the grounds.
Beautiful and clean the view of the fall foliage was breathtaking from the tower over looking a 40 to 50 mile radius. A fantastic glacial lake filled with 10+ pound rainbow and lake trout....

Amazing place to visit. Impeccable service from the day we checked in to the day we checked out. The grounds were impressive and beautiful. An autumn wonderland! We stayed overnight and I regret not staying longer. We didn’t cover everything on our visit which means we will be coming back! Food was great. The guest room was charming and every detail was planned accordingly. I loved that there was no TV in the room; nice touch to just connect with nature and explore the grounds. I was so thankful we got our nine year old to put down the iPad for most of our stay. She enjoyed hiking, boating and fishing. We had such a great time!
