“Walking into Torah Treasures of Monsey is mamash like stepping into a gevaldige oitzer — the name is not a joke. You come in thinking you need one small thing, and two minutes later you’re holding three seforim, a mezuzah case you didn’t know you needed, and somehow considering upgrading something in your house just because it looks so geshmak.
The setup is beautiful and organized, not the type of place where you feel lost. Everything has its place, and you can actually browse without feeling rushed. Whether it’s seforim, gifts, or something for a special occasion, it’s all there laid out in a way that makes you want to keep walking around “just one more minute.”
The staff are top-tier mentchen. You ask a simple question and they don’t just point — they actually help you think it through like a proper eitzah. No pressure, no rushing, just patient and friendly like they’ve got all day for you (even though they probably don’t).
And somehow, every visit turns into a whole experience. You walk in for a quick stop and walk out feeling like you accomplished something big… plus a bag or two more than planned. Classic.
Bottom line:
A warm, welcoming place with a beautiful selection and staff that treats you right. If you need anything even remotely in this world, chances are they have it — and you’ll probably leave with something extra you didn’t realize you needed.”
“Visiting from Dubai. Nothing to do on a Sunday. Was staying in White Plains and this seemed to be the only place open within a few miles open that sold vinyl.
Worth the 30 minute drive.
Found quite a few that I picked up especially Tupelo Honey by Van Morrison that is not on any streaming platform.
The two ladies who own the place were very helpful.”

“Dear Reader is an absolute ASSET to our community! Allie has given us not just a local bookstore, but also fun bookish gifts, and another spot in town where book lovers can gather for book clubs and events. She carries books that you won’t find online and she helped me locate and order a very specific book for Christmas! Support local, support women owned, support books!!!”
“This bookstore has more books than most independent bookstores so be prepared to stay awhile. They also carry an assortment of other items like candles, cards, games, shirts, glasses, etc. Fun store!”

“The very definition of organized chaos, in bookstore form! Make no mistake- they ARE categorized. They are just stacked floor to ceiling in absolutely zero order within their categories, but that's a huge part of the fun. We came away with some brand new graphic novels, an Irish story book, a couple National Geographic Animal books, and some West Point history.
Really neat place to stop by even just for the experience, but supporting a local bookstore is even better!”
“I traveled all the way from Spain to buy my tefillin directly from Rabbi Kass, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the entire experience. From the very beginning, he was in touch with me and answered all my questions with patience and expertise. He’s truly a professional in every sense.
Even the smallest details were explained clearly, and he has helpful videos online that made it much easier for me to make an informed decision. The quality of the tefillin is outstanding.this is something you can proudly pass down to your grandsons.
I highly recommend Rabbi Kass to anyone looking for tefillin they can trust for a lifetime.”
