“My husband and I needed to renew our expired passports and also get a first one for our minor child. I researched locations ahead of time and decided to make an appointment at the Wappingers’s post office based on the the ability to schedule an appointment and have our photos taken. The process could not have been smoother. I made an appointment with photos for the three of us, filled out & printed all of the forms ahead of time, brought my checkbook and all of the required documents. We arrived shortly before our appointment time and Johnny’s service was incredibly friendly and efficient. Everything was easy and we were done within a half an hour. If you make an appointment and arrive prepared, the process is incredibly easy. Johnny was really fantastic and had a great attitude.”

Jason is a AMAZING postal worker and BEATS any other locations. You can tell he loves his job and enjoys helping his customers. Even the way he uses such care on the items you give him. “Our Beacon postal workers are like family. With zero exceptions I have always been taken care of promptly, efficiently, cheerfully and with the extra bonus that I get to interact with people who know me. The service has always been outstanding. The building itself is very beautiful. While waiting in line I never cease to be fascinated by the exquisite WPA era pastel murals that grace the interior. Our Beacon post office is one of of our town's jewels. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful postal service.”
“Excellent post office. Brand new facility. You can either mail it yourself or go in and the Postal worker will help you.
The staff is exceptional. It's extremely well stocked with boxes & other mailing items like bubble envelopes, etc.
Google does not bring you to the building or to the entrance. Go a bit further down the hill. The entrance is the first entrance on the right as you come around the road to the building - it's a ONE WAY! Google is bringing you to the exit & IT'S ONE WAY - THE WRONG WAY!”
“I have a post office box at the United States Postal Service in my area. It's inexpensive. You have a choice on how you want to pay for your box. You can pay once a year or twice a year like I do. I pay once every 6 months.”

“Some post offices can be a nightmare, but the Washingtonville Post Office deserves a solid FIVE STARS!
Having been stationed and worked with various branches, I can confidently say the service here feels more like a privately owned family business than a typical post office. The staff is incredibly professional, efficient, and genuinely cares about their customers.
I have no obligation or relation to write this review—I’m just truly blown away by their outstanding customer service! If every post office operated like this, mailing and shipping would be a dream.

“I live in town but I’ve been coming to the village P.O. recently to avoid the horrible service at the town P.O. the environment is the complete opposite, you don’t feel like you’ve entered the lair of the soup nazi.”

“Always a pleasant experience. I think they catch a lot of flack because some people don’t know the rules, hours, cost or just impatient. If you are in a rush, leave earlier. If you need a passport, make an appointment and have all your documents and application completed prior to the appointment ,if you are shipping don’t expect the post office to provide you tape etc. or just go to the post office 🏤 on Broadway and wait outside the door in an even longer line (I suggest winter or Summer, if you are looking for an experience) There are more important things to gripe about in this world.”

“New Windsor post office is the best local post office I’ve ever encountered. The delivery people are friendly, the post office employees are very kind and willing to work with you, and they are able to adjust during extenuating circumstances. I’ve been waiting for over two weeks for my package to leave IL, and I received it less than two hours after New Windsor post office received it from the area distribution center. Can’t thank them enough for their impeccable service”
