Extremely unfriendly store. None of the agents want to help.

Love shopping in-store to try on items I've been eyeing online and to return any online purchases. It's busy on the weekends and outside of work hours but it's a haven if you can come on during off hours. The staff is always helpful and they do a good job of keeping it clean despite hoards of people throwing clothes around. Only wish there were more stores in NYC!

If you don't give up on your clothes while waiting in the dressing room line for 40+ mins, you'll give up on your clothes waiting 60+ mins to pay. Don't bother.

People kept telling me that Abercrombie had had a glow up and was a lot more inclusive and better quality than when we were teens. The lighting is a bit better, and they have evolved a bit to follow the trends (lots of silhouettes and styles reminiscent of Reformation), but it's not where it's at. The fragrance when you walk in still gives headaches, and the quality is so bad - pilling, cheap fabrics, etc. So not worth what they're charging. Pass.

I would give zero stars if I could. The security verbally harassed my mother and kids in the store after someone went through the exit and an alarm was set off. Then proceeds to accuse all of us, searching our bags etc, come to find out they forget to take a sensor off another persons item they purchased. Unacceptable behavior, we won't be back.

Wow. I'm so surprised at the negative reviews. My experience was outstanding. I asked to use the restroom before I even browsed and they were very accommodating. It's not really my style of clothing but I was there with my son. He found everything he wanted except for two plaid shirts and they went through the trouble of looking it up online, and then ordering it for him. They even suggested that we pay for the cheapest item, do the survey, and then get the 15% discount for the rest. My son didn't try the dressing rooms but I passed them on the way to the rest room and there was an entire line of rooms. And the prices - great quality for very reasonable prices. We really got a lot of bang for our buck. The line moved very quickly and overall it was a very pleasant shopping experience. The workers were very helpful and friendly and I didn't see any of them not doing their jobs or being responsive.

I have spoken with several representatives at Abercrombie and Fitch regarding two previous orders I placed. The items that I purchased ended up being the wrong ones. These items were never worn, tried on, and they have both tags attached. The first representative I spoke with on June 5th sent me two return labels to ship back the items and receive a full refund for my original form of payment. Both items were received by the Ohio headquarters on June 10th. I called the return department June 11th regarding my refund and spoke with Sebastian R. He told me I would only receive an e-gift card. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he let me know, no one was available they would get back with me after he sent a message out. When a customer service issue is escalated, it is imperative that a supervisor become available to resolve the issue. He gave me every excuse as to why I cannot speak with a supervisor. I ended our phone conversation and called back. From there I spoke with Savannah. Savannah stated she was messaging back and forth with the supervisor to have an e-gift card issued, then the payment team would reach out to cancel the e-gift cards and send me a full refund to my original form of payment. She apologized for Sebastian poor quality of customer service, and that he would receive additional training from his supervisors. She stated she's worked there 5 years and was more than happy to help with my issue. I received the e-gift cards the same day and from there I would wait on the payment department to reach back out. I woke up Saturday morning June 12th to an email from a customer service rep named Bruce. In the email he spoke about the years 2018, 2019, and some of 2020. My items were purchased in 2020. He also stated I would not receive my original form of payment but I could keep my e-gift cards and that they do not expire. I was told by the first representative on June 5th I would receive a refund in my original form of payment. I was then told by Savannah I would receive e gift cards and her supervisor stated the payment team would reach out, cancel my e-gift cards, and issue my refund to my original form of payment. June 12th I am now on the phone with another customer service rep saying we can't reach our supervisor by phone since we are working from home, we also can't reach the payment team by phone. During this pandemic, how are you working from home but not able to assist a customer? What exactly are you doing? I shouldn't have to put my personal business on blast to receive a full refund. I will not be purchasing from here again!!!

I really shouldn't expect too much from A&F. I am really surprised they are still around after all these years. After hearing from a friend how they've changed their clothes (i.e made them fit actual people who aren't a size 00), I decided to stop in and check out what they had. When I was younger, I was never an A&F girl but I wanted to give them a chance to redeem themselves. Being this is a giant location on one of the most exclusive/expensive avenues in the world, I thought it would be well stocked. Well, I was wrong. For a massive location, there is very little merchandise in this store. I swear a rack of bodysuits had one of each color in one size and that was it. After supposedly revamping their jeans collection, I expected a robust offering in this store. However, I couldn't find a pair of jeans above a size 25 in the entire store. The styles and colors offered were also severely lacking. The website has many more styles and go up to a Size 37, including offering Extra Short, Short, Regular and Long lengths. I barely saw any Short lengths on the racks and tables. I am not sure if their lack of availability is intentional or if they are simply sold out of many things and not replenishing fast enough. Also the third floor was closed off and was literally empty of clothing when I took a peek from the staircase. An entire floor going to waste when it could be stocked! A&F is certainly not getting their money's worth of rent here. The store is also overrun with eager tourists hoping to get a slice of 'American' culture, i.e overpriced, basic clothing. Maybe I am getting old (I'm 27), but it seemed like the store was literally staffed with children. I didn't see an older manager or worker on sight and it showed. The upstairs registers didn't seem to be open. The main registers down stairs didn't have any signs indicating their closure, but they were empty too. A worker told us that we had to check out at the small 'store pickup' counter, which made no sense since I was buying something in store. Also, this giant store in the middle of 5th Avenue only has 1 person on the register in the middle of the day on a holiday. Recipe for disaster. If I truly want to experience A&F clothing, I'll save myself the $5.50 round trip subway fare and order online. This store is nothing more than a tourist trap that has hardly any merchandise for people who are serious about shopping and not buying souvenirs.

Pros of the store: They were keeping things very clean and following COVID guidelines, the salespeople were helpful, checkout was quick. Cons: They're out of so many styles and colors in small and medium, the dressing room line takes forever because there are very few rooms for a 3-story store, you cannot shop on the bottom floor because the smell of cologne is strong enough to make you gag

Purchased t-shirts, they forgot to track, purchased more t-shirts and they sent me the wrong ones and now instead of rectifying the issue they refuse to deal with me and claim it's the second complaint so it's my fault. Terrible service, one agent accused me of going to a local store to con them (they don't have retail stores in Australia) when pictures were provided. Don't purchase from abroad they will not help you at all. Shocking
