I love the familiar, almost family feeling of service from everyone I’ve ever interacted with at Actor federal credit Union. I feel fortunate that this is my bank.

My late husband banked here, from the moment the European widow took over it's been nothing but drama. Every month my widows' pension is deposited but a working bankcard? Forget it but. And if I knew what it was that "Mr." ******* was after, but nooooo... not a word of explanation, just childish behavior like blocking my card without notifying me. I sincerely wished I could leave and take my account away from there, I would put the money to better use..*************************-Noorthoorn **************

This is a MUST bank for entertainers! The staff is always cordial and attentive, the fees are fair, of any but most of all, there are all kinds of helpful discounts for different services as a result of being a member.I literally closed all of my other bank accounts ( business accounts included) with the major banks because it's all fee driven and uncaring customer service. One downside? One location in the heart of been I've been with them for 20+ years and that has not changed my opinion. They're awesome! I love them, and they have emergency call service if needed!

It's wonderful to know that the credit union is still thriving. I was the teller/loan assistant/file clerk of the credit union from about 1970 to 1972. There was a manager named Harold and a loan officer. He embezzled $ and fled to South America! I was trained by a gentleman named J Frank Lucas. Nice memories.

I am pleased with the assistance I received from the AFCU representative. I am awaiting an answer, but the rep got back to me in a short period of time to keep me abreast of the progress.

Part 2 I guess if had not been for Fannie I would not have gotten an account opened. But again she was doing what she is suppose to do...helping the people who come there. That guy William, HORRiBLE! He has HORRiBLE work ethics! He does not like to work. He only wants to help certain people. He only wants to work when he wants to work. A lot of people should not be working. A lot of people should not have the jobs that they have. They don't deserve them and they don't want to be there so why are they there? They are doing a disservice to the customers who come in there looking for help. I don't know what his problem was. I don't know if it was racial but he is awful. He was speaking Spanish to the other people in the room. What did it for me was when he walked his a** to the back of the room to look at my account clearly being nosey! He is rude! He should not have a job. William thinks that it was okay how he acted. It is is not okay and it was not right! Who does he think he is!! I had to write about this because I was very much turned off and disheartened by what I experienced! Let me also say after he did not help me the first time I would not have wanted him to help me but that does not give him the right to think that he can just walk to the back of the room after Fanny had taken my paperwork to look at my account who the f*** does he think he is. A lot of people think that they can just do things and nothing happens to them they are not reprimanded, no one talks to them nothing .....it's not OK it's just not OK. This is a place that deals with people's money, money that they work hard for!

I, the widow of an actor who gets her widow's pension deposited into her Afcu-account, have recently moved to Africa and applied for a new card... the whole process already takes FIVE MONTHS. I had to go to the boss of 'my' Member Services Representative to obtain a card, it is FINALLY activated, the only thing missing now is a PINcode. So far I spent OVER $200 in phone costs and all I got was a "So sorry, you have to call this-and-this number for that" but then you get a whole new person, who refers you to "this-and-this phone number" and the whole frustrating experience starts anew. For me, not one to give up easily, this all lasts already significantly LONGER than the 2 days it should take MAXIMUM. Meanwhile, don't ask how low my credit rating is because I CANNOT PAY MY BILLS!!

Just awful. Unable to access customer service. Have left many messages. Need to update account for which I have POA. They will not call back. And a hack of 87 years old man's debit card which they deny. Took 3 weeks to get $497. back into his account. I suppose that they think that he went to Arizona to shop in a Walmart.

This CU breach banking regulations without any hesitation. This CU cannot be trusted. I applied for an unsecured personal loan. Unsecured loans do not require any collateral, that's common sense. After they ran my credit they approved the loan and asked me for collateral for funding the loan. But I never applied for a secured loan in the first place. I don't expect a CU to run my credit based on misleading info in the application. It's time the government authorities investigate into the internal operations of this credit union. 98 percent of the time you would not get them on the phone during business hours. Your call will go to voicemail 98 percent of the time even if you call them at sharp 9am ET. So you would have to leave voicemail but they won't ever respond to your voicemail. Even if you email them for a call back, they wont call you back. Make no mistake, 2 percent of the time when you would get someone on the call, you are looking at 1-2 hour hold time minimum if not more. They also have a number for text support. You would text them for support and they would never respond to you. If you ever lose your debit/credit card, on paper that extension is 24 * 7 available, but the reality is different. Even when you lose your bank card and you dial the extension to report lost cards, there would be no one available to take your call during and or outside business hours. So if you lose your debit or credit card or notice fraudulent activity in your card you would have to leave a \

The preverbal "I wish I could give NO stars" applies here. I hate this bank and the fact that it has ACTOR in the title should not lull you into a false sense of safety thinking that they care AT ALL about artists. LaVerne is a nightmare as is almost every staff person that I have had the unfortunate opportunity to speak to. Lack of customer service Lack of knowledge Lack of education Lack of any skills needed to work with money. I applied for a home loan and they said they were concerned with how many W2's I had... ACTORS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION...ACTORS... Artists have MANY W2's... So after 10+ years I wrote them a letter and told them to f*** off.

If you want a mediocre banking experience this is the bank for you. I'm an artist, and this has been my bank for over 10 years. Plain & simple they don't have your back, and due to Covid I thought it would improve, some kind of support, but that is not the case, it's been the opposite, I'm out.

If you are a professional actor, then the best thing you can do for yourself and your career is to join the Actors Federal Credit Union. They understand an actors life, challenges and needs. It is because of our credit union that I can solidly be in the business. Do it. You won't be sorry.
