Rude employees. I was so friendly and kept thanking the girl helping me, because she was putting off vibes like I was inconveniencing her. I must have said thank you 10 different times and she never once smiled or said “you’re welcome”. Not unlike a lot of my experiences in NYC though.

I was checking out some items and one of the staff members was keeping an eye on me. Like she was literally standing behind me throughout the entire time as if I was interested in stealing a $8 underwear. She asked me several times if I needed help to which I declined because I already knew what I needed.It made me feel uncomfortable, some of the staff members also had an attitude. Unpleasant experience this time around.

After receiving an email that my ENTIRE ORDER was available for pick-up, I go to the store to find that there's an item missing. I waited in the store, defeating the purpose of ordering online, only to learn that the item wasn't available at all. The customer service was subpar and I hated wasting my time. I returned the remaining items then and there.

I recently visited American Eagle to try to get a birthday present for my mom. This one employee, Cristel was more than helpful. She listened to my requests, helped me pick various items and treated me with respect. She exceeded my expectations. It was such a quick and easy shopping experience. She is the best part of American eagle, I wish there were more employees like her.

What a shame! Love American eagle and aerie but will never come back to this store!! They were rude when we first walked in and gave us attitude when picking out underwear. When I wanted to return something which I paid with Apple Pay. She told me I can’t tap my card that I paid for even though other stores have let me do it since it was still the original card. They asked the manger and gave me a rude comment of well “it’s always been that way and what they doing isn’t allowed.” While leaving I can hear them talking about us and the MANGER too. How rude please go somewhere else where they care to help their costumers!

RE: Lexington location. It is very sad when a store you frequent have horrible customer service. I went to AE’s SoHo location to get several stuff to bring for my travel this weekend. Since I just went out during my lunch break, I didnt get to try the stuff. While at the store though, I realized I picked the wrong size (the downside of lunch shopping), so I immediately grabbed my size and exchanged it with the next available cashier. I use apple pay these days, so I dont have to carry cards. Quick and efficient. Done in less than 5 minutes. Fast forward to tonight. I wanted to exchange a sweatshirt for an XS, return a cami that was too cropped for me, and exchange a pair of shorts with a different style. Since I live close by this location, I stopped by. The cashier, Lexi, rang the items, then towards the end, she said to put in the card used for the transaction. When I opened my phone to open the Apple Pay, she said it has to be the physical card; otherwise, only store credit. I said in SoHo, they didnt ask me for my physical card. Thats the point of the Apple Pay, isnt it? So we dont have to carry our physical cards. I asked if I can use a different card. She said no without any compassion, no apology for the inconvenience. Nothing. She said I can return the items for store credit instead! No, after that display of insensitivity, like im d*** for not carrying the physical card and coldly telling me just get store credit? No, LEXI! Do better. Interact with your customers better. Dont just tell me the shortcut because you want to go home already, which you loudly mumbled in front of a customer. You didnt even ask your manager, Jessica, what can be done when SoHo location clearly was able to do it without an Apple Pay card’s physical presence. I might have some sympathy for you for being tired, but who isnt tired after a day’s work? No excuse for you to be in front and center when you cant be bothered by your customers. Do better, Lexi. Do better! #americaneagle please reorient your front staff - one way here should be the only way then. If you yes to one, you set a precedence. If you dont want to deal with Apple Pay customers, say so UPFRONT!

i always get my bras and undies from aerie cuz of the unbeatable comfort. it’d been several years since i last got bras and syreisha was just the most delightful person to help me get fitted and find the most comfy styles. i felt comfortable and supported by her. keep lifting this lady up yall! mariel was also so helpful on the undies floor. the staff were so patient in helping me order my size online too. great crew. well done folks!!! :-)

Good jeans. Not so helpful customer service... I tried to make a return months back in person and they couldn't help. American Eagle's social media support ignores customers trying to get help. To the point, I wasn't able to return the item within the time period and was disappointed. The security guards they have at the front gives unfriendly energy too, tried saying hi and didn't feel super welcome - just intimidating. Nobody in dressing rooms either.. I'm glad I was able to find jeans that fit but everyone just seemed very unfriendly there. :/

Made a return and instead of getting credited, they RE CHARGED me. When I called to ask them to help fix, they said there was nothing they could do without receipts (which I had already thrown out because it was a return...). Person on the phone could not have cared less.
