I had the best experience - I was by Grand Central, got a call that my elderly mom had a fall…I needed to keep in touch with her caregivers but my phone charge was low. I went to the GC Apple Store, asked someone (Jessy) if I could charge my phone for 15 minutes, she cheerfully got me on a charger. Several other Apple staffers stopped by to check on me. Very positive service experience!

I didn’t like my experience there today! I made an appointment to replace my battery! I came in early but wasn’t let in which I understood! Came back at my scheduled appointment and walk in where technical support was delivered! I had two staff there were walking free but ignored while I was walking towards them, maybe they didn’t want to take any other customers or maybe it’s something else! I had to ask the girl if she assit me! She asked if I had an appointment and what did I want. I explained her my issue which was battery replacement! We went through the process and I explained her that I already had a bad experience with this issue because Apple make me took an appointment with bestbuy Fordham Road on December 1st but when I went there they told me they don’t have a battery for my model! Nevertheless I was told that I had to wait 1 hour 30 mn for the service to be done and when I asked why no acceptable answer was given to me other than many people were there waiting which wasn’t true! I felt like it was a way to discourage me to get the service I came for! It was already 5:30 pm and I couldn’t wait that long! I had to leave and I could felt the relief from the staff, like I don’t want do this .No alternative offered and no words of consolation, not even have a good day! I have been paying my Apple care subscription for two and half years and cannot even have a proper battery replacement! It’s just about the money but not the service! Disappointing

Horrible service. I had a legitimate issue with a loss of audio with my AirPods Pro 2nd gen and staff was nice but gave no assistance. Staff stated he escalated the problem to the manager and she wasn’t willing to assist. Now, this would’ve been fine if I was some sort of charlatan, but I Will Not be returning to this location or spending money here. I went to Apple West 14th st and they swapped out the AirPods, solving the problem. Thats how you provide proper customer service. Apple products are apart of my lifestyle. My next review will be 5 stars at the Apple west 14th st location.

For my money - the coolest Apple Store. To be there just in the landing of Grand Central Station with the gorgeous ceiling and buzz of a traveling city below is incredible.Friendly staff and well-staffed. Didn’t feel too touristy either which I appreciated. I’d recommend this over all other locations in the city. Their service was also VERY FAST. 1 day to fix a battery on a Mac Pro.

The staff are helpful & friendly, huge supply of accessories & apple products, fast wait time. They fixed a problem on my phone real fast. The only thing is I would not recommend coming to any Apple store if your screen is cracked or something like that use a 3rd party they’ll fix it for like 50 - 60% cheaper then apple. But other then that the staff at this Apple location are very friendly & helpful.

This place is busy. Great for purchasing, moderately OK for service. The stair case leading to Apple Grand Central conceals a very large footprint of the store. There are multiple greeters at the front, a number of Apple Geniuses, and multiple classes being held. However if you come here for service, expect to wait longer than normal. In comparison of the upper west side, where you book a time, show up, get seated and go over your issue, when you check into Apple Grand Central for your service time, you are checked in and then queued. My queue this time was 40 mins before I met with my support genius. This wasn't a hinderance for me, but if you are trying to fit this into your schedule, be prepared to be let down.Service support went well with an upbeat attitude and hardware advice. I would visit again based on convenience of location and if I had the time to spare.

1/2 star as at least instructor showed up. Very poor customer service & we did NOT learn anything. APPLE used to hire caring employees at these instructor-led workshops but now it’s lucky if you’re blessed with a competent caring APPLE Instructor. We are very disappointed in the lack of teamwork!

I love this store. Besides the beautiful location in the grand hall at Grand Central Terminal, everyone is so nice and helpful. And the people at the Genius Bar are truly geniuses. Big shout out to Vlora with helping me get the new iPhone 15 Pro Max and setting it up for me. She was so kind, helpful and patient. And another big shout out to Hazel at the Genius Bar for your help in running diagnostics on my old phone and getting my battery replaced so I can give that phone to my mom.Apple, where do you find - and how do you keep - such great employees?!?

Apple employs a group of blue shirts at the entrance to greet customers and triage them. Except they’re all more interested in talking to each other than greeting guests. After I did a lap of the store and was redirected to them to get in line for product help, these guys didn’t even turn to face me and instead addressed me with their backs turns and talking over their shoulder. That’s just bad manners, never mind any professionalism. Apple can fire all of them and still make exactly the same amount of money.

Just had an atrocious experience with this Apple store. Driving to NYC we realized needed a wall charger and cord, so checked their web site and they had the goods and offered delivery! So we could get it delivered to our hotel, right? Yes! We then spent over an hour on the phone with two different employees, were put on hold multiple times, were initially told they could have a courtier bring it from the store to the hotel for $9, great! Could even get there that night, even better! Then on the confirmation it said UPS delivery three days later, after we'd be gone. Another phone call to Apple. Then it was changed to next day UPS delivery. Ok, not as helpful as same day but whatever. The next day got a call it wouldn't be until the third day, after we left. We were told same day, next day, three days later, then next day then...three days later. Complete incompetence. This store doesn't know how to do basic things and even looking up whether they had the charger took something like 10 minutes and multiple re-asking of things like Do you need the wall charger? Yes, I just said that several times! This store does not deserve your business.

Awful experience!I think they are running a con.So, I had an AirPod pro that I bought in 2020 and made some weird noise. I took it to them and they said it is an internal issue and it is not covered by warranty. They wanted to charge $180 for replacing the pair. I asked why I am responsible for this and Apple is not taking care of the issue. The rep said it has been three years it is time for changing it perhaps and the second generation has came out. He said we only exchange certain models build in 2019 and not the ones in 2020.I also took my Apple Watch 7 since the it did not hold the battery as before. They checked it and said it has 85% and to change it I need to pay $300. He later said once it goes below 80 I can change it at Apple for like $80. He also suggested me to get a new one instead of spending money on it.So, I suggested that they have to put it on their website that their product has a 3 year old shelf life. I guess that way I think about it more before I spend $700 for these two items.I have been an Apple user my whole life. It would be a bit of hard transition but necessary one I guess. I am not gonna blow my money like that anymore. Apple is not the same as before. It used to be premium with premium customer service.I forgot to mention. While I was frustrated the rep (Genius Bar guy) kept smiling the whole time. Kind of felt like he is laughing at my situation.

It took me a while to even notice that there was an Apple Store in Grand Central. Once I did, I assumed- I guess just based on its location in a train station teeming with both local commuters and international tourists- that it would offer a smaller inventory of products or lower quality/efficiency of service than other NYC locations. However, having now purchased two devices here in recent months- it's super close to my office and easy to make a quick run to- I can tell you that this is absolutely not the case. In fact, I think I may prefer it to the 14th St. and Soho Apple Stores that I've frequented in the past.Looks-wise, they've done a great job with this store. It blends seamlessly into the gorgeous Grand Central architecture and doesn't make it look Steve Jobs (RIP, Steve) vomited Apple aesthetics all over the place. Inventory-wise, they seem to have just about everything on display, and they've not been out of stock of anything that I was looking for. And the service is great. They employ some really NICE people, and I've had some great conversations about non-apple life stuff with the crew while chilling out here waiting for backup/download/setup/erasing, etc.

I cannot express how helpful Hazel was in helping fix my laptop! Not only was she kind and friendly during my appointment, she was extremely fast and professional with fixing my laptop!! I was told this issue would take a while to fix by another Apple retailer, and she resolved it within a day!! She was such a big help and I cannot recommend her more!
