It's horrible don't don't do it. Went for a rental and once I got there terms and conditions changed. The females that work there are miserable and pathetic with bad attitudes. Don't do it trust me. Idk how management they probably part of the issue too , to allow the b.s. but okay looking great Avis

The person who rented us the car seemed as if she hates her job. She was super unpleasant and unfriendly and I felt that she had an attitude. The car was dirty on the outside and inside. I was told that it couldn’t be cleaned because they didn’t have any water. Every time that we rent from here, it seems to be an issue with one thing or another. The location is convenient but I may have to go to a different location that isn’t so close to home.

Bad service and bad cars. Lady at the booth was telling me incorrect facts and acting like I was the idiot. Don't tell me that I'm wrong for not having a company when one wasn't presented during the booking. Don't then insist that I do infact need a company name.The rental car also had problems with the phone connection and it shook. Why would you give me a car that rumbles?Also, if I fill out a customer survey with extremely negative ratings, don't send me a tiny coupon for my next visit. I'm not using Avis ever again. What am I going to do with a 10% coupon?Customer service is lacking both in person and remote.

UPDATE as of 12/01:Customer service reached out. Im not sure if they counseled that employee but they provided me with a discount coupon good until 2024 for the trouble. Will confirmcif this is a permanent discount or one time use. Upgrade from 1 to 3 stars11/25/23 My experience was pretty bad.When I arrived there were two service representatives at the counter. One was a man whom seemed to be a supervisor and the other a woman at the desk assisting another customer.The man didn't address me when I arrived though it seemed he was available for service. When it was my turn, the representative that was the woman was staring at me like I was an extraterrestrial. I told her "good afternoon" and she never responded. She just stared at me. So I asked her why she didn't return the etiquette as a part of good customer service. I'm sorry -as a business owner and President's club member of Avis I am accustomed to general customer service that includes good etiquette.Then she argued, "you said good afternoon it's still morning and I said goodmorning"-----but this was after I made my request for professional reciprocation of customer service etiquette. Her supervisor didn't correct her and she maintained her attitude throughout the entire interaction.Attached is what Google would let.me upload.

The garage is very cramped. Hard to move in and out of.The Avis car I received was FILTHY. I had to stop and buy paper towel and windex just to see out of the front and back windows.

Never had any problems or issues at this location. Tashanta and Tousaint are two of the most professional, reliable, friendly, pleasant and proactive service people I've ever met. I've worked in customer service my whole life and I can attest to their professionalism. Please remember to respect and be patient with these agents as they do their jobs navigating the intricate rental process to get you a nice car.

Tashanta of the UPTOWN MANHATTAN W 97TH ST (J75) Avis location is truly a spectacular customer service agent and person. She was kind and sympathetic to what I needed to do with my Avis rental car - move my son to Pittsburgh - and was able to find me a mini van as a substitute for the only cars available when I originally made the reservation which would not have been big enough. Her friendliness and compassion and commitment to helping me rent what I needed reduced so much of the stress and made the whole experience incredibly enjoyable. I must also extend special praise to Khalil, who prepped the mini van beautifully, taking the time to clean the car and show me exactly how to fold down the seats. The two of them are wonderful people. Avis is fortunate to have them as employees. I highly recommend them!

I loved my recent car rental experience. Which I did through Uber via Avis. The valet service is a special touch. Being able to have the car dropped off and picked up is truly a convenience. The car we received was clean and in excellent condition, . It was literally the best car rental experience I’ve ever had. Lastly, I had groceries in the back of the car when the person came to pick it up and they helped me take it out and checked the vehicle to ensure that I left nothing behind. Thank you for the experience, I’ll be back.

After waiting for 40 minutes to get a car I had already pre-checked, the lady at the front desk was screaming at me saying she was alone that day. Really bad experience and customer service. Complete contrast to the service I received on Sunday.

Staff at Avis were friendly and helpful. The vehicle wasn’t particularly clean and needed a service but it did the job.
