While renting the car was smooth, the "after" part is not. We took pictures before and after the trip to document that we did not have any accident. The only picture we did not take was to ensure a spare tire was in the trunk. Now, 3 weeks after the trip we are being charged $ 378 dollar for the spare tire, which we didn not use. BEWARE - make sure there is a spare tire on board. Besides, most newer cars do not even have one anymore. Who is to say this car never had one to begin with? Happened at the Airport Frankfurt Avis Rental. Very disappointed. Car rental companies are getting worse. Last year it was Sixt, this year AVIS. who might be next? is that how car rental companies get more revenue, especially from customers whose insurance is covered with their credit card companies and do not need that extra expense? There is a saying out there: Germany the service desert. Well, it is so true.

Beware, keep your gas refueling receipt and always, I mean always, always take pictures of the fuel tank BEFORE and AFTER returning the car. This happened to me at this AVIS location twice already - they will always charge you "refueling service" fee even if the tank is returned full. Check my photo - March 3rd, 2024.

Ask for Nandi, she is AWESOME!I always dread going any car rental cuz I have never, ever, ever had good customer service. I always felt like it’s the dmv, BUT not at this location.She was polite, helpful, and kind. Same with security guard there. Also Richard, the person you return car to, was friendly as well when I dropped it off. I even offered him a slice of pizza, haha.I accidentally came across this location when LIC Avis canceled on me last min, literally 30 mins before my pickup.Even though there is 10 other Avis closer of me, I will only go this location going forward, even though it’s 45 mins away from me.Kindness pays, Nandi & Richard. Thx!

The desk person was totally wanting you spend more money! First, you don’t get your preserved car even you reserved a car before one day from that specific location of their application. They will tell you your car is not available when you got there. Second, the desk person hides some details intentionally to let you rent more expensive car without acknowledging a real price. Lastly, their price system and support service calculate with different categories compared to your paper. Their pricing is not transparent for most fresh clients especially. If you want not to spend expensive, please be carefully!

Good car and amazing employees, both in the counter and in the car receiving and delivering zone.Car was in perfect condition and clean, and was fully charged (it was an EV). Tires and safety equipment was in perfect conditions.

Nandi, was the consummate, dedicated New York, elite Avis counter professional . She took great care of me and my fellow company passengers, helped pick out the ideal vehicle for our trip and suggested the best options. Will ask for her next time at Avis.

My experience with this location (only location I use in NYC) was incredible. Everyone who works there is super friendly and accommodating. Even if the car is more expensive from the airport locations I will ALWAYS use this location. Highly recommend anyone in NYC to use this location.Car is always super clean and in great condition!

I had a good experience here comparing other rentals in Manhattan. I have booked a compact car but since they didn’t have it they offered me a truck with a free tank of gas which I believe was so generous. The staff were nice and accommodating.

I have just returned from NYC with the surprise of an undue charge, not even mentioned by the Avis´s website where I made the reservation or by the operator when receiving/returning the car.The combined payment made with everything included would be $87.55 and nothing more.And now I was charged by this value:Non Pkg Items: $35.97I have all documentation that does not mention this value at any time.

It is a highly recommended rental company, friendly and professional. A few details regarding the quality of the car in my last experience, I hope it is an isolated situation. It is very good that they have a 24-hour branch, it gives very good flexibility for special cases
