They try to seat you at the worst seats first which I find highly annoying. The food is only just ok - itâs only passable because of the location and nice ambiance. Go there for the experience but donât expect amazing food.

âCustomer is king â , customers must be treated with curtesy and elegance , paying attention to all their needs , they must be comfortable and enjoy their experience , NO MATTER WHAT THEY ORDER ! Unfortunately, someone was rude to me and said that â YOU HAVE TO EAT QUICKLY AND GO â just because I didnât ordered the high tea menu ! I donât need to be commanded on what should I order in order to sit where I have chosen ! Customers should feel welcomed, comfortable and enjoy their experience , which I didnât feel this time . Itâs not my first time going to Bergdorf restaurant and itâs been always nice but this time ðð»ðð»NO. I donât recommend honestly.

Food, service and ambiance were wonderful. One of my favorite place for ladies that lunch. Our server Scott was outstanding. Strawberry shortcake was to die for.

Very disappointing- clearly they have never had a proper English afternoon tea. They ask if you have allergies but wonât change anything. Portions really small- only 1 scone, cakes were size of thumb nail and sandwiches well- they adopt an open strategy shall we say. I asked for a plain sandwich which they couldnât do? $75 and they canât make a plain sandwich and did nothing to try and accommodate me. No top up of anything including tea and have to pay extra for coffee! I ordered a strawberry shortcake which was sponge not shortcrust pastry- I think the chef maybe trained at McDonaldâs- but at least they will cater to your requirements. Overall a disappointing waste of money, I wouldnât bother.

For an afternoon tea for two, ask for a table next to the windows, with view on CP. Loved the teas, the scones, and the savory snacks. Macarons were fresh but tasted as if artificially flavored.

Considering the restaurant automatically charges you +25% gratuity (which I hope wasn't done just because we were four brown girls) the service was mediocre.

Fantastic experience! Last minute impulse for lunch before a Broadway matinee and loved every minute of it. Great table with view of Central Park, attentive waitstaff, menu with lots of options. My favorite summer classic - deviled eggs- was a great starter. Scallops with pea pesto were awesome. Lovely atmosphere. Let ok forward to returning.
