This is my favorite Blue Mercury location. The manager, Marina, is wonderful. Knowledgeable, kind, and always generous with samples. One never knows with beauty products, and she always says "give it a try"! I've learned a lot from her. Returns have never been a problem and they are very understanding if things don't work out. I have a choice to go to different stores in my area and I will always go here because of Marina. She's is seasoned in the industry with so much knowledge. I can't understand any negative reviews here. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and she always makes me feel my best. 5 stars all around.

I will NEVER return to this location. Rude employees!! All of them. Made me feel like a second class citizen as soon as I walked in and didn't help me, just sent me to their other location. If I wasn't buying a Christmas gift for someone else, I'd never step foot in a blue mercury again!!!

I will never return to this location as my husband and I were discriminated in this store. We were just walking by the neighborhood in casual outfits since we were out for groceries and I realized I ran out of eye products. Usually I’d go to Sephora but we decided to just check out this store. We walk in, asking for eye masks. One staff was friendly and gave me one box of eye masks which is unfamiliar brand for me so I wasn't sure if I want to purchase or not. And then she told me there's more on the other isle.I went over with that box of eye masks and wanted to compare with the rest of them. As I was looking, there's this mid age Caucasian sales woman walks out of no where and she ask if we needed help. I said “oh thank you I am helped by someone I just want to see which one eye masks I want.” She’s like “just put down the unwanted products on the table when you are done” as she pointed to the center of the store. I say “sure”. But because I was still reading and comparing, I didn’t put down anything immediately. After a while I done comparing and I gave back the product to the first girl who first helped me immediately. And this woman came out again, and literally looked at my hands and asked where is that eye masks. My husband said “oh we return to the lady who helped us.” She's like “where?!” We had to say it again, “we gave it back to that lady. “ And this women screamed through the store to ask " they gave you the mask? Did they?" after the confirmation, she didn't seem apologetic or nothing about her rude behavior. And she asks “what else are you looking for? “ She was not sincere nor was she kind at all. I almost feel like she want me to get out of the store immediately! I am a huge make up lover and every time I go shopping I like to take my time to compare and buy a bunch of stuff after I pick what I want. But this woman is the most rude sales woman I met. I picked another face wash and pay quickly. But this experience really stings me!I saw the receipt from the store the checkout employee name is Holiday S. Not sure if it’s her. But I will not take any chance to go back.

Marina did a flawless and day-lasting bridal make-up that complimented my complete look. She was professional and helpful to get the right products for my different make-up needs. Visit this location when you need advice!!!!

I had an unpleasant experience returning the item I purchased at Bluemercury. I came into the store and the employee turned me down saying that that particular location didn’t carry the brand. Wasn’t helpful at all just wanted to get me out of her hair. Could be at least a bit nicer since the place is expensive. Even Ulta or Sephora would let you return an item purchased at their chain regardless of location.

This was my first time in Blue Mercury. I always order my skinceuticals products off line and was glad to see I could purchase them at this BM on Madison Avenue which is near my job. I read all the bad reviews so I went there not expecting anything extra from anyone. I wanted to get what I needed and leave. To my surprise, Robyn was fantastic and took good care of me. There was two other sales personnel who seem to be in a good mood. My experience may have been different if the store was crowded and busy. Thankfully, I had a pleasant experience and hope to return and encounter the same pleasant energy I received today. Thanks Robyn!

I have tried to like Bluemercury on many occasions but now I give up. I live one block from the Madison Avenue location and hate to say it but it is awful. I travel often for work and am not in the city too often. I love that Bluemercury has travel size products for skin, hair, and body making packing easy. In the last few years I have shopped there whenever I return to New York to replenish travel and full size products. It was always hit or miss with the customer service but has only been miss the last few months. There was a blonde that I liked who was always nice and gave me incredible customer service but I have not seen her in months. She probably quit which would not be a surprise considering the most unprofessional store manager! The manager yells "Welcome!" to everyone who walks into the store. It is by far not welcoming to hear her scream. She runs around the filthy store with a long black cape and horrible black hair looking more like a witch than a Madison Avenue store manager. I recently went in and aasked a sales person for my usual Oribe & Moroccan Oil and inquired about a sample of Revive. The manager overheard me and jumped right in to say no. I was surprised since in the past the blonde woman always gave me a sample which I used and if liked would return and by a full size. The manager was so rude to me that I left without buying anything. Perhaps she was not feeling well since she looked very bloated and pale but that is no excuse for being pushy and rude. I will never step foot in that store again.
