Everyone who works here is an absolute gem!I came in one afternoon with the hope of finding an hourglass lip liner I’ve adored since high school, but found an even better alternative from Trish McEvoy thanks to Melissa. Our whole interaction felt so genuine as Melissa was beyond kind and helpful in finding a product that worked for me.I left the store not only with a generous supply of samples (shoutout to the sweet associate who also rang me up, but whose name sadly escapes me!) but with a massive smile on my face...along with a better lip look, of course!

The staff is always turning. Always watching phones. I’m ordering my RMS online from now on. The vendors always pushing their brands. Staff is always feeling bothered and rude. Not helpful. I once overheard a staffer say “we are the slowest store in the city” . I Gave it so many chances. #lazy. No more.

I’m in the beauty industry well over 24 years. I graduated from over 7 academies and have well over 33 certifications in hair. The products the sales girl recommended today where spectacular and we loved her attention to detail and upscale brands! Definitely going back to her. Thank you! Peter

Heard good things about Deborah Lippman nail polish. Blue Mercury seems to be one of the only places on the UES that carries it. They had 3 plastic trays under the counter. The trays did not slide out. The only way to see colors was to crouch - almost to the floor- impossible. Walked out. How stupid could they be?!

October seems to be some kind of promotional month for employees. I felt upsold and bombarded by $200 items and meeting spending milestones for the employees. When I first walked in I was mocked by the shorter, black, male staff member for the pitch of my voice. Which I let go. I get it. You are stuck in retail on a Saturday. After seeking help from the other colleagues, this is where the upselling happened even when I repeatedly said I was not interested in another expense item (as I already had the $200 item I was going there for in the first place). When I considered purchasing the item they were pushing on to me the rest of the employees were like "wow, good job. Look at you" to the sales associate for pushing this on me. Gross overall. The only woman who continues to be excellent there is your skincare enthusiast, she seems to have been there a long time. Also another woman of color on their staff. Buy your Skinceuticals from their website and save yourself this offensive environment.

So small and don't really carry mens products. When you go in, no one really greets you

I had a very upsetting experience at the store on Broadway. The last time I was in the store I spent close to $600.00 on Skin Care and makeup. I had my make done for an event and bought several Trish McEvoy products. This time I wanted the same lipstick I have been using and happy with and wanted to add a blush. When I arrived at the store, there was a Salesperson working with someone and totally ignore me. They were also speaking extremely loud. I looked around for someone to help me and had to walk to the back where a Salesperson was dusting the shelves. She seemed annoyed and not very friendly. I could not make up my mind which color of blush I wanted and asked her advise. She answered very sharply and rude almost to the point of nasty. She said I told you 3 times this is the one you should get. The store was out of blush cases. So I bought just the blush and was told to purchase the case on line. When I was paying for the 2 products, I asked her a question and all she said to me was put your code int the Credit Card machine. I felt really aweful when I left the store. I want to return the blush and never want to visit that store again. It's not very friendly. Taking my business elsewhere!!!

I went to this Bluemercury location to buy a candle. I had done some research before and I had called some locations and they all had the same candle and the candle was the same price. I browsed the various brands of cosmetics, hair care, and makeup before finding the candle that I wanted (Nest New York Moroccan Amber). I also wanted a body brush for the shower but it was $35 and I could get something cheaper at Target or Duane Reade. The salesperson didn't hover around me while I was looking at things, which can be annoying!!! I used a gift card that I had gotten for Christmas or a birthday (I can't remember) and paid for the candle. I had heard of Bluemercury before when I was in Washington DC visiting my brother who was at Law School at the time and I had been to one of their stores on the Upper West Side but it had closed down.

Worst customer service ever. Treated with complete disrespect by a hostile employee. I've been a customer of Blue Mercury for many many years, but this experience ended my shopping days at Blue Mercury.

I am truly shocked at how I was treated yesterday. I am clearly not a "makeup person" which I told them and they supposedly acknowledged. I wanted to find a tinted moisturizer and some eye shadow. They only showed ONE product and then told me I needed lipstick and blush. They asked me to put the samples on and kept gushing about how amazing I looked. I couldn't see the difference. They were in such a rush to check me out that I didn't even feel I could have time to browse other product lines. I paid $80 for a small tube of concealer and $40 for an even smaller tube of blush. The minute I walked out of the store I was mad. I felt pressured as there were SIX employees in the tiny store and I was the only customer. Returning the items now and never going back.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!! If I could give 0 stars I would! That is all that I can say after having a HORRIBLE experience with the employees at this location. They were not helpful, were offensive towards my friends and I, and overall had a nasty attitude.

Just walked out of the 3rd Avenue - a sales person followed me around the store - after 3 times of saying I am ok - I just want to shop - HER manager said "she is just doing her job" after i said i am ok I don't need any help. - THE WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE! You lost me as a customer forever! I had over 150 dollars worth of products in my hand and I was looking to spend more... treated me like I was about to steal something. Going to Credo to spend more money than planned! Learn how to treat your customers! If you need to get beauty products go anywhere BUT here! Awful treatment of a paying customer!

I have never seen that level of rudeness in a store before. Are the Associates there, that angry??
