The staff at this store is always so uninterested in the customers. They don’t make any effort to help out and always seem to be talking to each other and only make an effort to help if you ask for help.

Brett rocks! I came in looking for a comb and ended up taking care of a few other things on my list. Brett is attentive not pushy friendly and knowledgeable and I will be coming specifically to this blue Mercury location to work with him. A good person is a game changer!!

I stopped on my way home to get a travel size empty bottles for shampoo, conditioner and other stuff. Unfortunately she didn’t even make an effort to understand what I’m looking for, her answer was straight up “ no “!! Didn’t ask any follow up question or anything. I just felt she didn’t want me at the store, so I left immediately. I won’t go to this store ever again.

It was alright, I found what I needed on my own. I was on my way to class so I was dressed very informally. I was not acknowledged at all but when an older woman came in shortly after me, she was greeted and given a significant amount of help. That woman ended up buying nothing though. I probably won’t be coming back here.

I had a wonderful experience visiting this location yesterday with my friend! Marion was very inviting and informative on product recommendations. He was able to assist us on a top tier level shopping experience! Thank you to him, Kim and Hope and I will definitely be returning!!!

Horrible customer service. Store closed at 6 and I got there at 5:50 and all associates pretended to ignore me and kept the door locked. Will be sure not to visit this location again.

Purchased an expired product from here and am unable to return to the store to return it. I reached out to their customer service department they directed me to call the store. I am still waiting for a call back from the store so since they were so useless in helping I let my bank know and they are disputing the charge. There are so many other stores that have the exact same products and actually care about customers.

Snobby, snooty customer service, I had just come from the gym. Once they saw my blackcard and driver take my bags, their attitudes changed right away. Will I shop there again? Maybe on Nevuary 31st!

Still my favorite place to shop! Consistently great service, everyone is so incredibly helpful and friendly. The current manager, Joseph, is probably the best of them all -- and this store has always had fantastic managers and staff. He seems to know exactly what I need or want, and is always generous with the samples and advice. I've never felt judged here, just welcomed. It's why I sometimes come out of my way to shop here. They are consistently terrific and never make me feel as if I'd been sold or pressured into buying stuff. The higher-end products are behind glass because some of the street people on Sixth Avenue were apparently running into the store and stealing stuff to sell on the street. If that minor inconvenience for me (having to wait for someone to unlock a cabinet) makes the good people there safer, I'm all for it. Also, that photo below of a staffer putting on makeup doesn't look like it was taken in this store. Only one side of the store faces the street, and there are no product shelves in those street-side windows

I went in for a product to hide the dark circles under my eyes. There were three sales associates there and I came out empty handed. The two that worked there were more interested in doing their own makeup than helping me! Now I know why the store is empty. It was a waste

I came here a few times to replenish items that Sephora doesn't carry. I like that Bluemercury carries a high end curated selection of products. The staff has usually been nice and friendly. However, a few times I felt like the staff was judging me whether or not I can afford the item. I do notice that their more high-end products are behind a glass case and you will require someone to open the door before you can try the product. Unlike Sephora, BM isn't very generous with their samples.
