Horrible customer service, I should say no customer service available, for defective items. I have purchased many from their website and when one travel water holder, on sale for $20, leaked all over me and my backpack, they would not accept the return or provide a replacement unless I provided a video showing the leak! It is a slow leak, which would have required a long video taken by equipment allowing for time lapse filming, and probably too much to send by email. When I asked repeatedly how to do this and why they could not take the damaged product and see it was defective, they did not respond, just repeated the demand. Impossible to reach a person by phone - in August 2023, the recording says they work remotely because of COVID (no phones???). DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE!!! There are plenty of products that are just as good and serve the purpose from other manufacturers, available through Amazon or other vendors - stay away from BODUM... they are horrible!

Terrible customer service. I can't believe that a company this big can provide such poor customer service. My emails have not been answered for a long time and reading the reviews here makes me even more pessimistic

Nonexistent customer service. Cannot contact directly via email/phone/chat. Yes via IG, but then it's Bodum global and the have no information on availability of "out of stock" products on Bodum USA. Ridiculous.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY. Bodum have the the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I placed an order and noticed their system auto updated my shipping address to my billing address. I immediately reached out the their ‘support’ team and provided them with the correct address but did not receive any response. I then received a notification that my item had been shipped to the billing, incorrect, address even though I had emailed them asking for the address to be amended. The item was shipped after a day and my emails were ignored. I then a complaint posted on their Instagram as I thought the high visibility would result in them reach out to me. Their Instagram itself is littered with comments of poor customer service and people complaining that they have not had any replies from the support team. My item is now being delivered to an address where it is currently unsafe to deliver. What should have been a simple address update has become a whole ordeal with my item being delivered to a place where there is no one to receive it. Shockingly, other customers have also experienced terrible customer service. This business has been report to the Better Business Bureau on numerous occasions. Again, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

My Bodum grinder was purchased in May, gifted to my partner in June, and started malfunctioning in August. Customer service requested a video, which I sent, and then ghosted me. There is no way to contact them by phone.

Contacted them 3 times to recieve a Return Authorization form for a product that was ordered directly from thier website. Unable to get them to contact me with the form #.Terrible custormer service- very dissatisfied.

Their descriptions are inaccurate on their website and they charge a restocking fee AND you pay return shipping. Returns are not free.If you want their products by them elsewhere, like Amazon

Never ever buy from them. They charge you every possible fee for returns when you could just buy one of their products from a middleman and get your money back. As others have mentioned, customer service is also extremely slow to reply.

Buyer beware. The products look good, but my Bistro coffee grinder broke after 4 months. I reached out to their customer support team but never received a response.

I bought a french press coffee maker and they sent me the wrong one. I emailed them for one month and never received a response. It is impossible to return anything to this company. They say that you can return things within 30 days but is it impossible to receive a return label. I find it hard to believe that such an upscale company has such dreadful customer service. I will be reporting this to the BBB since it says on their website that their products are returnable.

Bodum is GARBAGERECEIVED DEFECTIVE LEAKING TEA KETTLE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN USED! ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THREE MONTHS I HAVE BEEN EMAILING THEM THEY HAVENT REPLIED TO ONE EMAIL!!! AND THE BEST PART IS THEY BLAME COVID FOR NO ONE ANSWERING PHONES, ITS TWO YEARS LATER NOW LIKE REALLY?

Hey Bodum! What's going on? I received the Schiuma D3043-16 and immediately noticed it was defective. I've emailed you on February 12th, 19th and 27th...all without the courtesy of a reply! Further, it seems that 24 months into the pandemic, you haven't figured out a way to reroute your phones lines and provide customer service by a live person. That excuse may have been valid in the early months of the pandemic, but it definitely is not valid now! #bodum #poorcustomerservice #defectivesciuma #dontbuybodum

The shipping took much longer than the stated expectation by 30days. When I revived my order one of the items a thermos was damaged. I sent an email to the email on the company site included on my order information. It has been over 3 weeks and I have received no reply or response. I have no idea of weather they have revived the fact that I received a damaged item and dont know the process to send it back to get my money back. As a business owner myself this is unacceptable. I am extremely unsatisfied with the service. Is it common practice of this company to take a customers money and give a damaged product with no response to even try to resolve the issue.

Similar to the other reviews, I purchased a coffee grinder and after two uses, the grinder started to smoke with a burning order. Then, it wouldn't work at all. Tried reaching out twice to support but no reply whatsoever. So much for a warranty. I can't justify even a one star review but had to choose one in order to post this horrid review. BUYER BEWARE.

Something is wrong with Bodum US compared to Europe. I bought a grinder and the lid is broken by default and guess what!?! Bodum does nothing about it. I would feel better if I had thrown my money into the street instead of buying a Bodum product. Funny how people are treated differently by Bodum in US. That, in my view, is not acceptable.
