I love this coffee shop! Their espresso drinks, matcha, and chai are all delicious. I love going on a weekend morning and sitting out front while caffeinating! The owner and all the baristas I've encountered are lovely. Also, they have an array of homewares, beauty products, candles, and books for sale and beautifully displayed. This is my go to coffee place in the neighborhood.

Amazing coffee spot and being a Black female owned place of business is a plus. It's near my job so it's very convenient and everyone is friendly.

Small cafe and nice ambiance. However, customer service is horrible. The service is so very slow, and the barista aren't the best. The two young ladies lack the experience and my hot chocolate is always warm not hot as I have asked nicely. One of the guys is nice but didn't like I expressed my thoughts about the two young ladies and have made my hot chocolate so milky after that. I like the pantries...but overpriced coffee with no customer service quality isn't great.

It's a beautiful space, but not welcoming. I came in with my 5 lbs service dog in her bag.. The woman told me that my service dog had to be placed on the floor? In her bag? Coffee was overpriced and not great. I will continue to go to Sugar Hill Coffee on West 145th street for better coffee and a more welcoming atmosphere.

Favorite go to coffee shop in this neighborhood! The barista is wonderful. So sweet and knowledgeable. She makes the best iced oat milk latte! The vibe in here is so calming and aesthetically pleasing. I love Oma and always glad to support Black owned businesses. The shop does get busy depending on the hour you go but nothing more than a little patience and understanding that there's only one barista working most of the time! Worth the wait!

Outstanding coffee and croissants. The equal or better to Stumptown. Love the style of the place. Friendly knowledge folks.

I'll lead with the positive: The Oma Shop is a beautifully curated space with interesting products that appeal to me. As a coffee lover & former barista, I love visiting new coffeehouses and like to try their regular coffee first, so I ordered a small drip coffee w/reg cream. It was only "ok" (and certainly not worth $3.25) but I chalked it up to inflation & ambiance and made a mental note to buy a candle on display and upgrade to a cappuccino during my next visit. That WAS my plan until a day later CashApp notified me that I was actually charged $4.25. And the next day I was charged another dollar. This has never happened w/ CashApp so I stopped in to inquire about the charge and the young (new) woman says, "we charge $0.65 for cream." News to me - and understandable- if I were charged $3.90. But I wasn't. My intention was NOT to pay $5.25 for a small coffee. I sent the owner an email but no response. I like supporting new businesses in my community but not at the expense of later adding charges to my card...Guess I'll be sticking w/my basic $2.25 med coffee at CafeOne.

I wish I received the same warm welcome as others have posted. I've given this place a few chances and yet my experience was just the opposite. They should be working at a back office somewhere because they lack social skills- no greeting, barely any eye contact, no thank you or you're welcome. Each time I was the only customer so it's not like it was busy. I say thank you and the reply is mmhmm. Odd that people are saying it's warm and welcoming. I'm from the neighborhood but I'd rather walk 7 blocks further then ever return to this place

I love this place, their customer service is always great. I have a couple of their items, the pastries are delicious and they hear them up. I had their Japanese soft drink which was also very good. I really love this place, the decor is very inviting and has peaceful vibes. I also want to buy some of their items which they sell in the cafe. This is definitely one of my favorite places to go.i took my friend and she enjoyed it very much. We ordered the almond croissant and it was very delicious.

What a great experience. I stopped in, absolutely determined to have a cup of Earl Grey and the pleasant young woman swayed me toward a Lavender London Fog, an option I had tried once (which would have been fine, as it was just ok). She guided me to adding steamed milk, I added some honey, and I had myself one magical elixir. Highly recommended... ... or maybe you just want a latte. I'm guessing it would be just as good in its own way, prepared by someone who cares about your experience and wants to keep the good vibes going. New favorite coffee shop!

I like this pleasant new coffee shop. The staff is friendly, the coffee is good, and the place is very cute. It makes up for the pandemic-driven loss of The Monkey Cup and Double Dutch, which were on the same stretch of Amsterdam. They also sell some very nice baked goods -- scones, croissants, etc. -- and they have a small selection of home items, teapots and the like, which I haven't paid a lot of attention to. I hope they stay around for the long haul.
