We stayed at the Cambria this week and had a fantastic experience. The front desk staff (without exception, but especially Shelton and Sherwin) went above and beyond to be friendly, efficient, and helpful. Great location, clean room, affordable, and the rooftop bar is fantastic - great views and service, laid-back atmosphere. Particularly appreciated was that the staff cheerfully held our bags both at the beginning and end of our stay, when we arrived pre-checkin and wanted to continue to do activities in the area post-checkout. We were on a big two-week road trip so had multiple huge, heavy bags, and the staff didn't bat an eye. Being in the flower district was fun and the hotel was steps from the subway or a nice 30 min walk from many acitivies we wanted to do.

We are staying at The Cambria this week and have already been very impressed by the level of service - Alexandria and Devon have gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome and have responded to our various questions incredibly helpfully and with good humour. Our room is clean, quiet and cool and the hotel is an excellent location - we couldn't be happier, thus far! Thanks to all of the team at the hotel for helping make our stay so enjoyable!

We had a great stay at the Cambria in Chelsea, New York. The room was spacious, the service from hotel staff was excellent, and the room well-kept and clean. The location is within a block of a subway station and just another couple from another key line. We were easily able to walk up to Times Square and over to the High Line and Chelsea Market. The hotel was quiet (for New York) and we enjoyed easy access to a.simoke rooftop bar. I'd certainly recommend staying here for the first time in New York but when looking to be away from the chaos of Times Square.Rooms: Rooms are surprisingly spacious, for New York and well-equipped.Nearby activities: Close to Times Square, Empire State Building, High Line, and Chelsea Market.Safety: Always felt safe, though overnight there are many people who are living rough in the streets.Walkability: Easy walk to many key sights.Food & drinks: Lots of decent cafes, bagel shops, and quick bites nearby.

This hotel has become my home away from home as my visits to New York are very frequent now. The staff is top notch. They are efficient, welcoming and available to answer questions, give recommendations or solve any issue you might have. The location is excellent. You can catch the 1 or R, N trains within a few minutes and get most anywhere. The flower district is charming, and I have always felt safe there. The rooms are a great size for NYC and are always clean and comfortable. Angel, at the front desk, always goes above and beyond to make me feel at home. He is incredibly cordial and helpful, and he is definitely one of the reasons why I keep coming back to this hotel. I know I will get a great room at a great rate in the best location with a great staff at the helm. I love this hotel and the staff even more. I highly recommend.Nearby activities: Madison square garden, chelsea market, Bryant park, the Flatiron, the Empire State Building, Times Square. Shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, parks, entertainment, rooftop bars… all are within walking distance. You have the 1 or RNW trains close by and they will get you pretty much anywhere else you want/need to go. ISafety: This hotel has a great, comfortable lobby as well as a nice outdoor area on the street. I always feel safe sitting out there people watching, waiting for a car service or walking to get coffee nearby. There is a security guard in the evenings and early mornings.Walkability: Two subway stops within a few minutes of walking. I have walked to NoMad, Bryant Park, Madison Square Garden, Penn Station, Chelsea market and the Empire State Building when staying here bc they are that close. With the close subway stops, and either the R or 1 train, I can get pretty much anywhere in Manhattan rather easily. There are so many restaurants, coffee shops and stores nearby. And parks. It’s such a great location.

Great customer service (Shelton and Sherwin were the two names I got, but we had timely and extremely considerate interactions with everyone else here also). Room was very clean and surprisingly spacious relative to my other experiences in Manhattan. I’ll be back to this location again, partly due to the hotel and partly due to the location—lots of potential casual eateries around that met both my preferences and that of my teen.

My family and I stayed here in May 2023. We arrived around 11AM on a Friday and realized we were able to park in a garage about a block away on 29th Street. It was $62.00 per night for parking. I was not surprised our room wasn't ready but they were able to stow our bags. Front desk was also very friendly. We did return around 3 and were able to access our room on the 2nd floor. Room was a fair size by NYC standards but with four people it was a little tight. Room was clean, fridge in the room. Bed is still comfortable and bathroom is still a little small.Location is great, especially if you are MSG bound. There is a Walgreens two blocks away for any needs. My big knock is housekeeping. You need to stay three nights for full housekeeping which aggravates me. They did remove towels and some trash after night one.Overall everyone is friendly and the location is great. I can't comment on price because I used points for my visit. I would stay here again, especially if I have an event at Madison Square Garden.

The location was excellent and the room was large. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice. Unfortunately our room was dated and the bathroom didn't really have a barrier between the shower and the rest of the bathroom (just two drains in the bathroom and a curtain across the center of the room), so water went everywhere when we would shower. Upon check-in we were told that our stay (3 nights) didn't include any housekeeping, but we could request new towels. This was really not great as our sheets came off the bed after two nights and since its not a fitted sheet, it was hard to put back on securely ourselves. Additionally, our friends stayed in a nearby room and their room didn't have towels at all and when they asked for some towels, they were told that the towel vendor was not there. This made me feel like we had to ration our towels. The room also had a weird sewage-y smell, but if we ran the bathroom fan continuously it was mitigated. The temperature control was not central and it was hard to get comfortable. Overall, 3 stars.

I had a great stay at the Cambria in Chelsea. There was minor delay getting into my room and service needed on my AC, but the staff was all very professional and prompt - I had no issues thereafter. Room was clean and still fairly updated/fresh, love that it's not dusty carpet but lvp. I was originally concerned because my room was right next to the elevator, but it was one of the most quiet hotel stays I've ever had! The complimentary white noise machine was really helpful. And the fact that you can open the window a few inches was great for a breeze and fresh air on the higher floors. Excellent value for the city and super walkable, will definitely be backRooms: Comfy beds, spacious and great city views on higher floors.Safety: Felt super safe with security out frontWalkability: Excellent location and super walkableFood & drinks: Has a nice bar in the back of the lobbyNoteworthy details: Provides white noise machine which was a lifesaver. Also, the window opens a few inches which is great for a breeze or cool down.

A lot worse than my expectations, the rooms were as small as a matchstick box and we had a room that was in theory big. The cleaning of the rooms was a blow from behind as it is isn't put in anywhere that the rooms are cleaned with a lapse of two days, leaving us completely dissapointed. Also when we arrive to the room, it wasnt clean and although we were a family, in the bathroom there were only two towels!. To value something I must admit that the treat to the client was great. Good location but that doesn't raise up my grade. It is not so recommendable to go with families.

Front desk was always nice, rooms are super clean, location is amazing. BUT, A BIG BUT, I kept getting randomly charged randomly charges to my card after I've checked out the hotel already, days later. After calling the hotel, the random charges disappear. Not it wasn't only the hold deposit. It was like 7 different small charges. It got fixed but a bit sketch for sure.

HUGE hassle checking in. Guy at the desk said we had two rooms reserved. It's only my husband and I. Why would we book two rooms? Threatened to charge one night penalty to cancel the room we didn't book! Will dispute it with Chase if need be.Got to the city early so we dropped our bags off at 11:00 and told to check back at 2:00 for our room. It's now 4:30 and we're still waiting.
