Zero stars for zero service . Rude tellers. Bankers sitting there doing nothing. Maybe they need to all work remotely?

do not go here the app shows atm available for cash withdrawal/deposit — location has atms behind doors that dont respond to customer cards swipes- location does little to make customers aware that atm is closed DESPITE THE LOBBY BEING WALLED OFF FROM THE ATMS - closed for security??? or to keep out the homeless? or closed because you wont hire security!! either let the people in or hire a security guard like citibank and bank of america

Sarah was great too bad she doesn't work here anymore. Hard to find good people who treats everyone like valuable customers.

Ridiculous that you can’t access an ATM on Saturday at 2:00pm with your Capital One debit card

I required the ATM urgently, but the people inside didn't respond when I knocked on the door. I wasn't aware that the ATM was closed until I checked the reviews. To make matters worse, a lady recorded me without my consent, and two other girls ignored my request to inform me that the ATM was closed. I want to emphasize that it's not right to record people without permission, especially when I just needed access to the ATM. ?

They close the ATM after hours despite having the card scanner and clearly turned on ATMs. The people running this are complete idiots

I feel like corporate has given up on this location... For more than half of my life I have e been with CO. This is a good location that's directly across the street from the 72nd street subway. In fact thr are 2 Chase, 1 Citi, and 1 Bank of America either across from the subway or within a block of the station (thr used to be a HSBC as well but that got shut down even before the pandemic). It's like they don't care that UWS is spoiled for choices in banks. Honestly the best thing would be to make this a cafe location even tho they only do those downtown but you know what? They would make money hand over fist if they did this because the 50% off discount with a CO card for a drink would bring lots of customers in (they would have to fix the customer service issues but if they look at the demographics especially for coffee there are a myriad of places within steps of the subway but are on the pricey side. Put in a elevator make a little nook with a view of 72nd street and put a cafe downstairs and fix the service issues and you will have a primer bank and membership will come. I would honesty rather go down to the 14th street or E 57th locations for tea and service. Y'all are trying to be digital and incorporating the latest tech on the corporate side and thr is no problem with that but even with a small effective team you can make this location so much better. CO was last on many national and regional customer service lists but first in tech, slow the roll or focus on the obvious issues here... All or most of the negative reviews are about incompetence, mostly with staff, fix that above all else and work on the ATM issues second. I can guarantee that other banks would LOVE to take your spot. I'm not moving my banking anywhere just yet but it kinda sucks that the one location in the area closest to home kinda sucks (I haven't had issues with staff other that I HAVE had to wait over 10min because as thr being a 5 plus person line, thr were only 2 tellers and one had what seemed to be handling a lengthy issue but some of the advisors [who I know can use the teller portals] were just talking to another advisor/branch manager and the security guard). I am giving such a long assessment and publicly on Google because 1) I for the most part like this bank and 2) I have seen replies to comments so I hope you take this as helpful criticism to hart.

Oh, wow, another understaffed branch. It’s a long wait to meet with a teller. People get mad, quickly. I’m kind of impressed by how unphased they are. Is there a functional branch in the city? Because I’d to get my rent check there.

This is the last remaining branch on the Upper West Side. I was going to write "full service branch" but if the ATM lobby is closed for the greater part of the day then it technically isn't. There's been a noticeable safety issue of homeless people loitering around ATMs. No one wants an audience while accessing their life savings. Other banks have decided to combat the problem by closing their ATM lobbies at 10pm. Capital One has decided to be the absolutely least convenient by closing theirs at 5pm on weekdays and 12:30pm on weekends. There might be a solution to this. They don't advertise it but you're supposed to be able to deposit cash at CVS via a barcode in the app. I haven't tried it yet because the Allpoint ATM at CVS was down. Figures. Capital One has been closing a lot of branches in NYC anyway, effectively becoming an online bank. Not cool. Who wants to bank with an institution that keeps cutting back on services and accessibility??? I just hope Capital One isn't in some sort of death spiral. I hate change.

One person working in customer service. I’m trying to do small simple thing for two weeks. You better call the bank. (Unfortunately this must be done with ID in hand / I can’t do it over the phone). It is not the person fault here! It is the system!Such a big branch and “nobody “ is here. Brutal just brutal….

I realized today they closed ATM’s after 6pm! Where the hell am I going to get my cash when I need it???? By the time I am back from work, they are closed! Like lines there were not terrible enough, never more than 1-2 tellers working. If they don’t get the ATMs open 24/7 like before, I am out of Capital One. If they had problems with homeless people, well put a guard there to watch them, not our problem.

So Capital One has decided to close their ATM and not tell its customers so everyone is getting there and can't get into the bank so now we have to inconvenience ourselves even further and go to a bank further away. Thank you Capital One, I know what's in my wallet?!

Visited on the morning of 21 July, had a small issue that we hoped we could handle in-branch. Learned it could only be handled over phone/computer. Bummer. BUT Paul E., Prince of Wales, was by our side the whole way and helped us through. Very friendly guy, explained our options, helped us out as we got transferred a few times on the telly, made sure that our issue was indeed handled before we scooted out of there. A scholar and a gentleman. Richard Fairbank, if you're reading this: promote Paul immediately.
