I can't address the store itself, but I had a phone call with Bruce that filled me with respect for the business. I explained I had a collection I knew nothing about, and wanted to set up an appointment to appraise it. Although it was clear from the onset that my stamps were going to be worthless to him, he spent so much time explaining things to me - telling me what to look for, etc. His knowledge of stamps, both American and foreign is truly impressive. Based on brief descriptors from me over the phone, he was able to instantly tell me what I had, what they might be worth and stories about their provenance. Truly lovely customer service!

We were very disappointed today we are visiting from New Zealand and my husband is a keen stamp collector . I found this store online for him so we made plans today so that he could come to the store as no where does it say that the store is not open to the public so we turn up and the notice on the door says no walk ins. Can you please update your website so others don’t waste the time and effort of coming to the store.

Was there 2 years ago and was absolutely stunned. It was a flashback from my childhood when I used to go to philatelic stores in Europe to buy stamps. I had no idea a store like that would still exist in New York City.

I used to stop in occasionally during my lunch hour and if you're not a collector, you may feel intimidated, but don't be. I would walk in and browse the counters, looking at all the interesting stamps and supplies without bother. If the shop keepers seem a little standoffish it's because they're really busy with a lot of behind the scenes stuff. a, there aren't many of these places left, and as a result, they have little precious time to spare, as they look busy handling stampr research for remote customers, etc.If you are truly interested, hobbyist love ro share their knowledge, don't be shy. This is a good business if you're interested in starting a hobby. The hobby of Kings! ?
