Most helpful and professional staff amongst luxury goods retailers in the neighbourhood. Our personal shopper also provided us with great restaurant recommendations whilst carefully wrapping up the purchases which he shipped out by overnight delivery.

Sultana, the cosmetics sales associate here at 57th, is a racist and will carelessly package the wrong item if you’re a POC and then refuse to help afterwards. Unfortunately (based on her own words) the boutique manager is complicit in allowing this behavior. I had gone out of my way to get a limited edition color Le Rouge Duo at this location (and told Sultana how excited I was to finally get my hands on this shade since it is practically impossible anywhere else). However, after getting back to my hotel I noticed that she given me a totally different color. I thought okay, mistakes happen. So I called the next morning before my flight home, and politely asked if they could mail me the right color (I would buy it again) or do an exchange for the wrong color. Sultana point blank said no and seemed much more interested in getting me to only mail back the incorrect color (all while refusing to even email me a return label for international shipping). My home country has limited Chanel boutiques in only 2 spread out cities but it does exist. So I asked if she could at least set up a return with them for me. Still no! She blamed the store manger for this policy.

This was an almost perfect experience with the exception of the behavior of the security guard that was on the second floor when we arrived.Had it not been the behavior of the security this review would have been 5 stars. Please refer to the cons section for a detailed description of his behavior.ConSecurityWhile I was standing by a case looking through the iPad with my sister and speaking to the employee about the broach we were looking for, a security guard walked over, invaded my personal space and pulled on the handle of a draw that I was in front of. Didn’t excuse himself or even speak. Not only was it inappropriate because the handle was level with my crouch and he was invading my personal space, but the only thing I could infer from his behavior was that he thought we were in the store to steal. No one wants to feel like they are perceived as a thief when their only objective is to purchase a gift for a friend. Security needs to do better and stop profiling customers.ProsAlmost had a perfect experience. My sister and I had the door held for us as we walked in. We were greeted by an employee and asked what we needed and once we told her we were looking for brooches were directed to the second floor.When we arrived, we were greeted by Christina and asked if we wanted something to drink while she showed us all the brooches available for sale. When we couldn’t find the brooch we were looking for she went above and beyond and provided us with an iPad to look through the stores inventory while she went to the 3rd floor to search for it and found it!While she packed the item she explained to us what was the procedure in the event that the brooch was damaged asked us how we wanted our receipt and we were on our way.

I bought a bag 20yrs ago from this exact store. I asked for a estimate due to a flood. I was told they "don't know where I got the bag from it could have been eBay and they can't authentic it". I pushed harder and got a print out..it was a pretty limited bag. If Chanel can't authentic their own bag which I literally bought from this exact store 20 yrs ago then you have lost a client for life. outrageous behaviors. Absolutely reduculous. Never buying anything from you again.

On vacation and walked over here just now with my wife to purchase shoes and other items, hours say open til 7 on google. We arrived at 6:34, door was shut with a sign inside saying “we are currently closed” people were clearly inside shopping, I knocked on door to motion a sales rep over and all I got was a distant smug faced mouthing of the words “we’re closed” from deep inside the store, not even the courtesy to come over and explain why or offer an apology. Lesson 1 for Chanel) don’t waste expensive people’s time, lesson 2) have the courtesy to give a proper explanation and apology. Not intending on going back and as a business owner myself they should be embarassed.

Came in with a friend to purchase a pair of earrings. Whitney, the sales associate was excellent. They provided us champagne, water, found us a pair of earrings we described, not to mention great conversation. The store was packed due to the holiday, and we did not feel rushed at all. Whitney represents Chanel very well.
