So unhappy with this branch. Customer service is very poor. After waiting a long time for a banker the person told me 10 or 15 minutes. After a wait of 45 I had to leave. I understand if he was busy but lack of consideration is not understandable. Tell the truth and keep customer informed. Not enough bankers. As a personal banking customer I will only use the bank for teller transactions or close my accounts. Not the service I expect. Hire more people.

This branch is the worst. I had an urgent wire to send and the manager told me to wait, then came back and said it would be at least 30 minutes and then said "how about making an appointment." I am a private Chase customer and I was disgusted with the horrible treatment. Jamie Damon would be apoplectic if he knew of the lack of service.

**Warning for International Students and Work Visa Holders - Avoid Chase Bank**I recently had a highly unfortunate experience with Chase Bank, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to warn fellow international students and H1B visa holders (or other work visa holders). My account was unexpectedly frozen due to my nationality, a crucial detail conveniently omitted during the account setup process.Chase not only failed to inform me about potential restrictions but also proved uncooperative in releasing my funds promptly. Despite providing immigration documents from USCIS, they demanded irrelevant paperwork, adding unnecessary hurdles to accessing my own money. Moreover, my attempts to seek assistance from Chase employees were met with limited knowledge about banking processes, often resulting in misleading information.

We have been priority customers at Chase Bank for 40 years. At 1st Ave and 55th street the officers are never available and when you come in the Chase Bank person who greeted me, gave misleading information.I deposited a $44,697 business check using my personal ATM card by mistake. Officers were not available and the person who greeted me said “it will take 2 weeks to get the check.” When I called Chase Bank priority, I was told the check will arrive in two days. This is typical service you receive at this branch. You are better off going to the Chase Bank at 57st and 2 Ave which has excellent service.

Awful service and straight up manipulative. Would never step foot inside if it wasn't the closest ATM to my office.

i use chase bank for my main banking and so far its been smooth sailing with a few bumps that have been fixed very quickly . i always visit this branch on 1st ave and 55th st cause customer service is very helpful with any issue i need fixing . the atms in the lobby are the new advance types that are able to scan checks for quick deposits and the lady customer service rep who deals with non teller services is great at explaining banking jargon in plain simple english. tellers are friendly with customers and never a long line means fast in and fast out .overall a 4 star rating on ny yelp meter .

As a Chase costumer for over 20 years i needed to obtain the assistance of a Notary and was rejected by a representative at this branch by the name of Kathleen McGoldrick. It would have not taken her more then 2 minutes to notarized my documents but told me i was very busy and couldn't help me until maybe 1130 am. Keep in mind it was about 9am and shrugged me off. I went to M&T bank and not only was there no wait there was no charge for the service.

I rarely write reviews but feel pushed to do by the relentlessly poor service at this bank. My brother and I were trying to open the safety deposit box of our deceased mother and were unable to because the apparatus was not working properly. An employee told us that it was not unusual that parts rusted out. When asked if they could bring in their locksmith to open the box, we were told it was too late to do so. I had taken the larger part of the day off from work for the 5 1/2 hour RT commute from Philadelphia to close the account . When asked if the bank could get a locksmith there during standard Saturday bank business hours so I didn't have to take another day off from work , we were told that the locksmith did not work Sat hours and that they could not engage someone from another company. When asked if just one of us could come back to resolve this matter to save me the trouble of returning or to allow for easier planning on our end , we were initially told we could and then the approval was rescinded. When asked to speak to someone beyond the branch to discuss these matters , the bank manager ignored our request. When I called the 800 Chase line , I was told that I could not have a real time conversation with anyone and that my only option was to file a complaint and to wait 2 business days for a response. I filed the complaint a week ago and still have not heard back from the bank. Let me be clear.....the staff including the manager have superficially been quite friendly and polite telling us repeatedly that they understand our concerns. However, they have continued to stonewall us and put barriers up to resolving our problem.
