This is a professional store but the carpenter was willing to cut several small pieces of plywood (16 " x 8") for my DIY project. The carpenter was friendly and patience with a novice (like myself). He even recommended a suitable paint, nails etc. Very happy that this store is within walking distance from my home.

If you’re wondering this is the street/intersection and business that is shown on J-hope’s “On The Street (with J.Cole)” MV!! I think its a beautiful homage to the culture that has always brought him inspiration! The graffiti alleyway is right across from here and I can’t wait to see this business grow even more!

Amazing hardware store where the professionals go. It's not a store you can roam around in, you wait in line and talk to someone behind a counter. They are super knowledgeable and helpful.

Friendly staff and great customer service. An essential store for the neighborhood where you can buy hardware supplies and have keys made.

Classic old-school hardware store and lumber yard that is part of a dying breed. Way larger and better stocked than its tiny hardware-bodega brethren - lots of dowels and wall/ceiling trim profiles, good selection of cast iron fittings for gas lines, multiple grades and veneers of 48x96 plywood, and a decent selection of dimensional lumber. Friendly and helpful staff, will cut sheets to size on a panel saw for a few bucks. Definitely beats a trip over a bridge to home depot for small quantities of lumber or sheeting.

I used to walk by this shop often when I lived in Tribeca, and thought what a unique 'old school' vibe and signage this shop has. A great character for the neighborhood. I painted a portrait of the side alley of the store in my series of 'Disappearing New York', which you can see on my website, kovalfineart dot com.
