Worst experience I've ever had at a bank.

I found everyone at this branch so very helpful and understanding of the issues I was having with my father and his dementia. I am thankful for the assistance and compassion with dear old dad. I did open an account so I could link it with my fathers but the online banking was so buggy and no one at the bank nor customer service could figure out why. I was unable to create an online account, unfortunately after weeks of issues I decided to save myself the hassle and cancel. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

By all means, do not bank at Citi!!! This bank has the worst customer service. The people that work there tell lies just to get you off their phones. I made a deposit into my account for a check that I received as a settlement. They blocked all of my accounts because they thought this check was a fraud. They blocked me from accessing the app and their website. I had to call them multiple times to resolve the issue. Each time I called, I was on hold for at least an hour. One of my calls lasted 3 hours including the wait time. When I finally spoke with someone in their fraud department, he told me he cleared the block and everything will be back to normal in 10 minutes. I waited an hour. When I tried to access my account, I still could not. I had to call back and be placed on hold. I am currently making the call at the moment. I have been on hold for 45 minutes now. This is totally unacceptable for 2022. Each time that I did speak with someone they were rude, unempathetic, impatient, and told lies. As soon as I do get access to my account, I will switch banks!!!

What a terrible branch. In fact, the entire customer service at Citi is horrid. Please don't cause yourself frustration and headaches. Find a different bank. The service is incompetent and atrocious. So very disappointed. I'm closing my accounts and going to a different bank.

My wife had a store credit card that wasn't used for years. We recieved text and email alerts in January stating that it had been used twice in one day. She contacted the bank that issued the card and confirmed that the charges were fraudulent. The customer service representative claimed the charges would be removed. The card was canceled and a new one was issued. The following month Citibank bought the accounts for that particular store card. One month after that we received a statement claiming the payment was late and fees were assessed. We then contacted Citibank customer service and explained this to them. We were transferred countless times and a few long holds, we were told that department was now closed for the day. Three days later, when that department was open we called and again explained the situation. We were then told we had to contact the prior issuing bank. We contacted that bank and were told since they no longer controlled the account we had to contact Citibank. Yet another call to Citibank, more hold times, and transfers, we got the Citibank representative to confirm with the former bank that the charges were fraudulent. That person assured us that everything was taken care of. The following month we received another bill, with additional late fees. This was infuriating beyond belief. The process was repeated again. The following month, it was the same story. At this point there are now three late payments on my wife's credit report without merit. We have continued to spend countless hours on the phone attempting to get Citibank to rectify this situation since April. It's now September and my wife's credit has now prevented us from getting the full amount of a home improvement loan that we applied for, as well as prevented us from being able to refinance our home loan. Had we known that less than $100 would have cost us this much time, and frustration we would have just paid for the fraud and closed the account. Now it's costing us 2 percentage points in interest more every month which equates to far more than the original fraud amount.

Terrible. They refuse to give me my money out of my account. Closed account for no reason. Holding 51,000 of my cash stay far away from them. They said they closed my account for no reason and had no idea why.

I just finished speaking to a supervisor at Citibank because they sent me an offer where I would get 65,000 airline miles if I spent $4000 within four months and it's three months in and they're telling me now that because I had this card two years ago that I don't qualify for the offer anymore. They're telling me I should've read the fine print which I certainly didn't see and probably required a microscope to find! I told them that they shouldn't be sending out promotional material to customers and then have them accept the offer and get a credit card and spend $3000 and then tell them that they're not getting the promotion that was offered. Very annoying!

Citibank is a prime example of how you cannot trust banks. Citibank is the one bank that you should never trust with your money! I opened my account online. They have stolen my funds. They froze my bank account and now are saying that they cannot locate my funds. They left me without food on a weekend. I called Monday only to find out that they have frozen my account and they claimed that they would mail me a check for the balance within 30 days. It has now been 60 days and they have stolen from me. I just received a letter in the mail stating that they cannot locate my transactions. They are criminals! It started when someone used my debit card fraudulently to the tune of over $1500. Citibank refused to dispute with Visa. They took it a step further to also steal my funds as well. I'm beginning to think that it was Citibank that was behind all of it. Please immediately open a bank account at a different institution and get your funds out of Citibank. Google "Citibank got sued" and you will see about the hundreds of millions of dollars they owe right now because of stealing from people. Google "citibank got sued" and you will read about how they have to pay back $700 million for stealing from the dead & the poor. I'm hoping this bank goes out of business. They are not the brand that you think they are. They are almost broke due to losses from criminal activity and lawsuits and this is what they are doing to people to try to recover! I should probably get the FBI involved. Watch out because I have read other reviews where a guy said that they stole over $15,000 from him. You've been warned....

I've been to many locations but this is the absolute worst. They are not willing to help you, disrespectful and murmuring. Go to the branch a few blocks up - they're so much nicer and helpful.
