I got a card from Citibank (this month) and it has already been hacked! Guess what? Citibank hasn't been helpful at all. Having a brand new card I cannot use is very frustrating. When I applied for the card I was given a temporary number to use until my actual card arrived. My brand new actual card now has fraudulent charges on it! I reported this as soon as it came to my attention. That was a mistake. Though a new card was issued, I cannot get a temporary number to use, even after speaking to a manager/supervisor. I got this card specifically to use for Christmas purchases and now, through no fault of my own, cannot do so. It is obvious that Citibank has poor security and also needs to have better customer service. A fraud situation, which is not the client's fault, should not be the client's problem. #Citibank #creditcard #customerservice

I would like to file a report for discrimination by Rebecca against me because of my name and heritage . She canceled my account abruptly while I was on the phone with a different rep on a three way with Wells Fargo calling verifying the payment posted. Account hold was lifted and then bam Rebecca closed my account. Nothing I can do? Really

Worst phone representatives (2) i've ever interacted with. Rude on the phone. They can't even let me finish my sentence and "sigh" right on the phone (even i can hear the sigh). They say they put you on hold and not transfer but then they transfer to get it off their backs or something. I asked to speak to manager and they did the same thing - transfer to the main line. the WORST service ever

This review is regarding Citibank as a whole. I have a Citi card that was given to me as a result of a Best Buy purchase at 0% interest. I make my payment every month right when I receive my bill, and on March 28th when my bill showed online, I paid $200 towards it. I do this every month. As the end of April approached, I began to check online to see if my bill had arrived so I could make my payment. When I checked my account, I saw that I received a late fee of $27. I was thinking what the heck, I pay it every month on the day my statement is available. I called the number and when I pressed "1" because I was calling to dispute a late fee, the system said you have been credited for the late fee. I thought what the heck, that was too easy. So i requested to speak with a representative. The guy keeps telling me that my payment applied to February's statement instead of March even though I paid it after the March statement showed. I have never had a late payment, and I wanted to know what happened. I asked for someone else. Then a manager rep got on the phone, and kept telling me that I was given a courtesy of voiding the late fee because I never had a late payment before. This was garbage because even on the website, the statement date said March 28th, and my payment date said March 28th. I literally paid on the same day as the statement. I wanted to have my late payment explained to me, and all they could tell me is that my payment applied to the February statement. Be very careful and check your payments with Citi. I can only imagine how much they are making off people that unfortunately don't pay attention to their late charges and just pay them.

It's a lunch time. Only one teller is working. The line is not moving at all, I mean at all.

I made a mistake: I overpaid a substantial sum, from my Citi checking account to my Citi Mastercard account. I made 2 payments in close proximity to each other, each for over that substantial sum. This past Saturday (March 30), after I realized the mistake, I called Citi in order to get the money refunded to my checking account (from which the money came in the first place). I spoke to a nice gentlemen who said it would take 2 to 3 days to get the money back into my checking account. As I knew that an IRS check would be coming through soon, I was unconcerned because every time I have dealt with Citi representatives in the past, they have been outstanding to work with. As of Wednesday, April 3, the money was not returned to my checking account. I began to worry and called to speak with someone. I was told that it had to be approved first and there was nothing they could do to get the money back into may account. Then Citi bounced my check to the IRS today. I called today and spoke with a supervisor, Luis, Employee ID GSPN14, and was told it takes 3 to 5 days to get approval and 3 to 5 days after that to get the money back into my checking account. Luis claimed there was nothing he could do and no, I could not speak with the Refund Department. It is a bit concerning that different agents tell customers different stories. I depended upon Citi's first agent I spoke with on March 30, and it has cost me: the check to the IRS was bounced by Citi knowing that money was going to be eventually returned to my checking account. TIme to tell Citi they need to operate better.

I am completely fed up with Citybank's hyperactive fraud alert. EVERY time I travel, I tell Citybank where I'm going, but it never fails to block my card and send alerts. Even close to home, I get fraud alerts and have to jump through hoops to get my card working. I have used Discover as my fallback, but it will become my primary card now.

Bank is nice, beautiful, clean and quick transactions. What more do you want? I don't bank here, but had to cash a Citi check and they took care of me quickly.

Bank is understaffed. Only one teller showed up today. The branch is beautiful and clean but you will spend your entire lunch hour there trying to get to the teller. Also, Citibank Customer service has become so bad lately. It is very hard to get someone one the phone and there is not special phone number for citi priority clients. I am considering moving my money to Chase.

What on Earth is Citibank thinking?! I am a reluctant Citi Gold customer - already unhappy with a myriad of customer service failures - but for reasons I won't bore you with, I'm having to stay...for now. But tonight, all that might change very quickly. I had to transfer $$ tonite ASAP into my son's checking account. Up until tonite, when I discovered Citi "geniuses" redesigned their website, I was able to transfer $ in seconds. Tonight, I have tried at least a dozen times. The website freezes, kicks me out, shuts me out, and is impossible to navigate. I am unable to do what should be the most basic of online banking tasks: a transfer between linked accounts. This is probably the last straw with this horrible bank. Citi is clearly too big to care about any individual customer...even one who is the useless high tier CitiGold.. Don't waste your time, go to ANY other bank in your area. Incredibly poor job on your website redesign. And no excuse in 2019. Any smaller bank would have done a much better job!
