I open an account today January 22 I was told at first it would take 2 days for me to cash out part of the money .then another employee said a week. So I have to wait a week ?

I had a wonderful experience a few days ago with one of the tellers there. I was unable to catch his name, but he was the only male on the line. I asked him a ton of questions about promotional offers and rates and he was quickly and effectively able to give me all the answers to my questions. He gave me an overview of the rates for the time period, told me about many promotional offers for different accounts, and helped me get the information I needed to be able to plan my next steps financially. This is what it is all about! It’s a shame that the other negative reviews are bringing down the branch’s score when they have such a wonderful young gentleman leading them to greatness. Thank you once again for the amazing experience and I look forward to coming again when I’m in the area and also sending some of my business associates to this branch to speak with my teller. To anyone having doubts about this branch, I can speak with 100% certainty that this teller is one of, if not, the best I’ve seen. During my time reviewing the rates I saw how he interacted with other clients and no matter what it was always the same smile and greeting, the attention to detail, and the warm “have a great day” at the end. 100/10 service!

I agree with everybody who had such a bad experience with the people at that Branch. I had an encounter with Beverly Hobal who refused to transfer my fund from a my blocked account to another one. She was very nasty to me demanding I moved away so she can provide services to people who looked like her and who spoke Spanish like her. In addition, she told me to go to another bank and I had no right to tell her how to do her job.She called the manager to help her. She did not have any interpersonal skills to help me. All she had to do was to override the system. I think she was so incompetent and could not do her job effectively. Beverly Hobal started speaking Spanish to her supervisor and she refused to transfer the funds from one account to the next.I observed the interaction between the Hispanics and Beverly Hobal. She was very pleasant to them.I am asking somebody to look into that. I don’t think it is a good idea to hire one specific group of people to work at. How dare her to tell me to go to another bank? Who gave her the right to speak to customers using that tone? Who decided who can override at Citibank? That is so unethical. I am looking forward to seeing changes made in that branch. I am so appalled by how I was treated.

F I COULD GIVE THOSE RATS ZERO STARS I WOULD!! They are EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL! If you don't speak Spanish they will not treat you like a person. Every teller is nasty and hard to deal with. They don't help with real issues they literally only take money out and put it in. Every time I go there it's the same treatment! SHUT IT DOWN!!

Beverly Hobal is one of the clerks who works with Citibank between 123 and 124th on Armsterdam. She refuses to transfer my funds because there is a block that account meanwhile every single citibank was able to make that transaction without any problem. She called her manager who was so unprofessional. She had the power to override it to transfer the funds. She did not to do it because Beverly Hobal started speaking to her in Spanish which caused her not to do her job cohesively. In a professional setting, I observed how they interacted with their costumers who speak Spanish and who look like them. They were very helpful to them. They started speaking Spanish to them saying words like mi amor. Meanwhile, Beverly Hobal told me to go to another bank, to stand aside to wait for the manager to help me. It was very clear to see the inequity in the bank. I think that they need to understand customer relationship and the way they must interact to people, regardless where they come from. The manager at that bank needs to be trained because she is so incompetent about the banking system.

A sham bank. You don’t get anybody to speak to. When I FINALLY did, she was rude and when I asked to speak to someone else, She gave me a Chinese speaker. Where does Citibank come up with these clowns??

The worst citti branch i been to they wont even help you and they give you an attitude ? when you ask for help they cant even speck Spanish right so getto can even help you with city on line payments never again the manager their had a very nasty attitude with me should check people out before they get hired for the job

In spite of a friendly attitude, we are extremely disappointed with this Citibank branch. They didn't let us open a banking account for my partner because he was not a principal renter of the apartment. The next day, we went to another branch of Citibank, and they did it with all the same documents. In this branch, they also didn't let me use a restroom, whereas in the other one they asked whether we wanted to use it as soon as we arrived; they also offered us coffee and water and gave us small gifts. There is such a difference in the attitude!

Very good and exciting Bank to go.....Their workers are very helpful.....Easy checking and savings....Easier for older people to open a bank account..JEFFREY VIZCARRONDO "Real Customer"

Terrible branch. The workers are absolutely incompetent. They repetitively told me erroneous information and where incapable of helping me. They are also slow and rude. I went there multiple times always hoping that I just had dealt with a bad employee. They do have a few ok ones but most people working there are not competent.
