This is a very conveniently located bank. It's on the northeast kitty corner of 81 and Columbus right across the American Museum of Natural History. The bank itself is a standard Citibank except with a broken door! Somehow the entrance door is nearly always broken it's always either open or if you swipe your card to get into ATM section you have to use Hercules power levels to open the doors or Zeus's for that matter.

Citi has a sign "#1 in customer satisfaction" biggest lie ever. This branch saw me standing at their window for a hour and a half and wouldn't even come to hear me out. I just came to pick up my Citi card and they shooed me away like i was a child

Saturday evening after hours and the entrance door was unlocked, unsecured which riff raffs can enter without swiping their ATM card for access. This branch location serves the Upper West Side community and sits on the corner of Columbus Avenue between 81st Street and 82nd Street. There are four (4) working ATM machines. No comment on teller or platform customer service as I did not utilize.

I would give this branch zero stars if I could. I literally grew up at Citibank as my father was a top executive for Citigroup for my entire life until he retired. I have had my account for more than thirty years. Granted all of Citi is going to hell because they really don't care about their consumer business, but this branch manages to sink to a truly impressive level of incompetence. I have lost money due to their ATMs eating deposits, the tellers are rude and inept, and the managers ineffectual. Today I attempted to deposit two maintenance checks to our building's co-op account. They refused to deposit One check which had a difference between the number entry and the written amount, which, while a machine would not have picked up the disparity, is somewhat understandable. However they would not deposit the other check because it had the next day's date on it. Anyone with a fundamental knowledge of banking knows that it is not legal to postdate a check and that as long as the check is signed, it is legal tender. I spent thirty minutes arguing the point with them to no avail. Citi needs to either shut this branch down or hire some competent people to staff it.

I wanted to share my experience this morning with Personal Banker Travis Frejoles. He addressed my request promptly and professionally, after having had a very poor experience last week with a customer service representative over the phone. In short, Travis restored my good feelings about Citibank. If you want excellent and friendly service don't pick up the phone - stop in and ask for Travis Frejoles.
