If you eat or drink anything here be aware the cafe baristas will use any milk even if you have allergies because the store manager forces them to. The entire cafe is FILLED with ants and roaches and rats in the back. If you have time I highly suggest looking into the cafe to see for yourself. They also on the regular lie about expiration dates, and change the prices back and forth. DO NOT EAT HERE FOR YOUR HEALTH

I love this little bookstore! It’s a perfect one-stop shop right on Columbia University Irving Medical Center’s campus. I came here initially to buy study supplies, a reference book, and Columbia gear. I walked away with everything I needed! On an additional trip, I grabbed a birthday card for a friend and a book for leisure-reading. Super easy to find what I needed! Another plus: the staff here are very nice and were helpful during each of my visits. I will definitely be returning!

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. DO NOT see Susan. Not only is she nasty she has zero regard for how you feel. Office stinks of cigarettes and did I mention she is rude. Never book with her.

One of the problems with working on the Columbia Presbyterian Campus at 168th Street and Haven Avenue had been the absence of being able to get a great cup of coffee or being able to browse at a great bookstore on a cold or rainy day! This problem was eliminated about five years ago when ColumbiaUniversity opened a Starbucks- Barnes & Nobles cafe and bookstore on Haven Avenue directly across from the entrance to the New York Psychiatric Institute. Contrary to a few of the other reviewers, I think the staff does a great job both at the cafe and in the campus store. It’s a great place to shop for gifts, buy a Columbia University sweatshirts or best selling books.

Really enjoy this cafe. There's plenty of room to plug in your laptop to work/study. The coffee is starbucks and the food is actually pretty good. They also have clean bathrooms and an extremely nice staff. I've come here a lot throughout my med school years.

Don't buy a chai tea latte in the Starbucks Café on Haven Avenue. It does not taste the same as the one from the actual Starbucks store and they fill it with foam even when you request for them to remove the foam. The counter is full of workers who know nothing about customer service. Very disappointing.
