Absolutely stunning gem of a store in the middle of Manhattan. I work with tons of designers and was able to find 2 breathtaking rare baccarat chandeliers. The owners worked with me to find pieces within my budget. They were so nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for rare antique lighting

How do I give negative stars? My friend and I walked in to this shop that looked really nice. We stepped in and immediately were greeted disdainful ambiance and disrespectful demeanor. We began perusing through the store as you would expect to do as a costumer in a store... I found a beautiful jar and as a normal person interested in an item for sale I picked it up so I could get a closer look and find the price because there were no prices anywhere in the store (red flag). I was immediately accosted by the unfriendly (not) gentleman who told me "that has a lid on it. You need to be careful" in a demeaning tone. I know that jars have lids (I am not a child). This is when things started to go south because I feel like I was being treated like an idiot. I told the man "I know sir" and then he kept saying "just be careful" like 50 times in row and I was getting more and more annoyed and frustrated because I know how to handle antiques (I frequent antique shops on the daily). Meanwhile my friend was looking and examining a separate piece and was getting a very dirty look as if she were a two year old in a China shop. He would not leave us alone and added "the owner will get mad if you break something. You will have to pay for it if you break it." At this, I got super annoyed and said "I know how shopping works sir." (The "you break it you buy it" is not a new phenomenon). At this point he was right on top of us and making us physically uncomfortable. He kept talking us in the store, eyeing everything we touched at which point we got so uncomfortable and angry we stormed out and my friend made sure to give him a death stare on the way out. Avoid this place at all costs... especially if you are a young woman and alone.

This place is basically just a rundown thrift store. In fact, I've Salvation Army stores that were nicer. Just a few broken, dusty chandeliers and hardly worth anyone's time. Not as advertised. As the other commenter said, the man who owns it is rude and obnoxious. I felt a little creepy being there alone with him, to be honest. He followed my every footstep and rambled on about some of the broken junk he sells is something special. I'd avoid this place -- in this pandemic era it's hardly worth leaving home for. Next!
