If I could, I would leave a negative 10 review. I was terminated from employment August 3, 2023. I immediately contacted Mutual of America and asked for forms to be mailed to close my small 403 B plan I had with them. I have now mailed two sets of paperwork in, written a letter, called numerous times, and still have not received the check. I did get a letter showing what the net will be after I elected the 20 percent for IRA taxes, however, when I called Mutual of America, they claim the check was mailed the same day as the letter. Long story short, It is now 15 weeks later and still no check. Two of my friends, who retired, took both almost 6 months to get their check. WORST company to deal with,

I had a withdrawal in 6/22 & then I noticed a 2nd withdrawal. I called & had to deal with the call center {You don't ever speak directly to a knowledgeable person}. This withdrawal was done without my permission . It took almost 2 weeks to weeks to here that they withdrew the money from my account but they didn't return the tax they had with held. I called 2/21 /23 & still haven't heard from them. I am so sorry that I left my retirement plan with them/

World's worst customer service. Do not use any of their services. If you have an account here close it and move your hard earned money to a more reputable and responsive company.

Have been attempting to transfer my funds for the last three months without luck. Have filled out their requested documents, twice! Numerous calls and no help or luck! Looking at BBB so many negative reviews! Any employer would be better off going through Edward Jones where you can reach a live person without numerous calls and more than a three month wait or numerous calls in one day that leaves you without more than three hours (and counting) stolen from your life to gain access to your funds! Definitely do your research, employers! Employees beware if you have an employer with this as their retirement financial institution. Shouldn’t have to cost an individual legal advice to obtain their retirement funds to be transferred. So so sad!

In the last month I have very disappointed in their customer service and responsiveness related to retirement withdrawals. The Corporate office has been ver nice. Hover, their Withdrawal center in Florida will keep you on hold for at least 1 hour. It takes up to 4 weeks to process a withdrawal form. And there are no improvement surveys.
