Always wanted to try this place and today I did just that. I took a little stroll through the market to admire the culture and product offerings . On my way out I decided to grab a snack before dinner since I was starving . Crystal shrimp dumplings. I was a bit scared of not being able to communicate but the lady got it right . The lady at the cashier was also friendly

Prices keep going up, quality goes down. For example, the dim sum beef meat balls cost $4.99 (with 3 beef meat balls), 95% starch....amazing. It is like eating donut....

This is my go to spot for all kinds of food & groceries. Food is great, but be prepared to be shoved around by focused Chinese NYers and brutally efficient staff. Depending on the time of day, the store is incredibly busy, so you'll need to be assertive trying to get the food you want. In the food area, decide what food you want with your rice box, then flag down a staff member behind the counters and get what you want. It helps if you're tall. If you're able to get a hand on the food, I promise you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend the fried pork buns.

love the place for cooked food section... I visit NYC have to stop by here to buy their beef noodles and fried rice, sticky rice and roast pork lunch box... not just for the surprising fair price but the amazing taste food!!! Beef noodle seem dried without soup but once I got back home, just add a bit water and dumped whole box of beef and noodle in to reheat....! my goodness, the best beef noodle soup I haven't had for a long long time!!! though the beef is tough so i steamed it before dumping into the soup pot, all good except the container was leaking, all soup got on both myself and the cashier!!! still will go back to buy more next time i go to NYC! Everything is so good especially the roast pork rice and now beef noodle is my new fav!

Quality has gone down severely in recent years. The roast duck is a waste of money because the majority of it was inedible fat with hardly two bites of actual duck meat. The meat buns are now comprised of 80% white flour, with barely any meat filling. Went to grab some bread the other day and had to take one of the boxes up to a worker to show her there was mold in it. I hate ragging on a business that's served Chinatown for so long but this is not the first time I've noticed the declining quality. Please do better.

Very good prices for meats and fish. The steamed buns are a good value. It may be hard to find pantry items, but they have lots of options for fresh and frozen ingredients.

The pork ribs are not fresh at all. Strong bad smell and I have to throw it away. Do not buy cooked food here especially the ones that with strong flavors- it’s easy to hide food quality issue.

I only come here when I am in a rush and need a quick bite or need some side dishes for meals at home. They have a large selection of cooked dishes for a low price!! Always a line of people that would be the only downside.

Strange and wonderful. So cheap so try a few things and if you don’t like them then chuck ‘em But they’ll be great surprises along the way. Don’t be scared. Almost all Chinese and that says a lot.

The Deluxe Food Market is a Chinese market that has peking duck, roasted pork, a hot food bar, a bakery, a selection of produce, and raw and marinated meats/seafood. You can definitely find parts of the animal that you won't normally be able to find in mainstream grocery stores. We saw many people standing around and eating some hot food from the bar; there were older grandmas getting meats from the butcher section, haggling with the butchers. I did notice that the meats did look fresh and the prices seem pretty competitive. Just note that the place is super pungent, so those who are sensitive to smells would have issues. The place is also jampacked with people, so navigating through can be a bit difficult. There are two entry/exit points, so you can literally go through and exit on the other side. +competitively-priced meats/seafood
