Drug your dog before you take it to this place. If your dog acts like a dog or gets a bit nervous the diva (who changed my dog's grooming appointment three times then haughtily informed me that really "I should find an in-home groomer for my pet." ( as if this place isn't expensive enough) Rather than deal with dog-diva groomers, the following groomers were recommended by my vet at Heart of Chelsea: Beasty Feast 327 w 14th street 212-300-4693 speak with Martin 145 W 24th St #1, New York, NY 10011 +12126457297 156 W 22nd St, New York, NY 10011 +12126330040

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Doggystyle. The selection of chews, treats, and toys was average and what you would find at a large chain (e.g. Petco). Far worse, the shop owner was unwelcoming and cold. While browsing, my pup sniffed a chew treat. I will mention here that most of the toys, etc. for sale in this store are in bins on the floor at eye level for dogs and freely accessible. After said sniff, despite having no intention of buying it, I was forced into purchasing the chew treat. Is this some sort of trap? Then, when the total fell short of their minimum for credit card purchases, and I didn't have cash on me, I had no choice but to buy a second item simply to meet the minimum requirement. I always support small businesses and small business owners, but this kind of treatment towards customers is completely unacceptable. I sincerely hope that strong-arming a customer was worth it, because I will never set foot in this establishment again, and I will make it a point to share my experience with others.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this company. They are disorganized, unprofessional and unreliable. They overbook appts and then cancel your appt on the day(after waiting weeks for the appt). I understand issues happen, but after talking to the owner Andie, she was unwilling to accommodate a new appointment in a timely manner after this last minute cancellation- she was only willing to put me on a waitlist. I find this unacceptable. Brianna my groomer at DS is wonderful and talented, but sadly the management/customer service is unreliable at best.

Absolutely love. Briana is the best! I am not sure who has more anxiety, me or my dog…. But I’m so thankful for finding them! They are pricey but it’s worth it. Very reassuring to drop my dog there.

Huge discrepancy on adjustment cost told by the owner before and after making the purchase -- Bought a collar and leash costing more than $110 and at the time, the owner specifically promised that she will provide free adjustments of the collar if it is too big. Went back to the store a week later looking for collar adjustment, basically wanted the collar be shortened a bit. The owner now advised that she needs to send the produce to someone else to adjust it and it would absolutely incur labor and shipping cost of which the price is unknown. Owner also won't accept return saying there is tiny wear even though it's basically invisible and it's purchased only a week ago, not to mention its own return policy says free return for store credit within 14 days. Felt like being tricked into buying the stuff as I was given the wrong assurance that any adjustment within the time frame will be covered and all products are subject to return for store credit. Personally won't come back again. Advise thinking it through when making expensive purchase here and don't expect it accepting returns.

Truly impressed with the product lines and specialty items that I came upon in visiting this store. The name tag I options include a line made by a jeweler - I ordered a bone shaped tag in sterling silver which will have my pup’s name hand stamped into it. SO excited to receive it to wear with collar pictures. Owner and staff are awesome too - informative, patient and helpful all the way.

I've been a customer at Doggy style for over 20 years and have followed them from Soho to now the west village. They always have everything I need for my dog and pet and are always so friendly. The owner, Andy Is such a delight and Is always so welcoming and friendly. They have the best selection of merchandise In NYC and even groom. I was able to pick up a beautiful cashmere sweater for dog at such an affordable price. I have always loved visiting Doggy style and catching up with Andy. They are always so welcoming and a perfect fit for the neighborhood. Anthony Arroyo

i showed up to an appointment and was told it would take 3.5 hours to groom my 8lb dog. i'm sensitive about leaving her and would have loved the opportunity to plan ahead for this kind of time commitment. grooming usually take 1-2 hrs max - in my experience. would have been nice to receive a tiny bit of courtesy instead of go f yrself attitude... but they were able to refill the appointment and i wasn't charged, so coulda been worse.
