We waited in a queue for over 30 minutes. A very indifferent clerk stated: "we are over staffed We don't know if we have the medicine and we won't know for about 30 minutes, because we are so busy." We moved here 3 weeks ago and I've had to come to this pharmacy 3 times. Not once have I received the medicine that I need. Not once. I learned a valuable lesson that Duane Reade doesn't value it's clients in Harlem.

A complete joke of a pharmacy. The employees are unprofessional, rude, and clearly under qualified. They are not looking to help you, answer questions, explain why they don't have certain meds, or make sure you understand the process. A robot would be a more pleasant encounter. I'm not sure why these people are in this field of work when they clearly hate helping people. They act put out by simple questions, slam the counter if you don't walk up fast enough, and treat customers like idiots. Do whatever you can to avoid this pharmacy.

Warren and the rest of the staff in the pharmacy are incredibly caring and thoughtful. Not to mention patient. Thank you all for your attentiveness and patience when the rest of us feel like sh*t.

I came here to grab a few miscellaneous items and it seemed like there was nothing left to buy! Literally all of the shelves were clean as if this were pre-COVID. Customer service wasn't really the best at the register either. At least the location of the store is convenient. I was able to walk right outside the door and catch my bus! The train is also around the corner along with the park if you need to add any last minute picnic items if they ever restock.

My experience with the pharmacy, COVID shot, and browsing the store were excellent. The store was very clean, well lit, laid out and stocked well (I even found multiple things I've been looking for at other Duane Reade locations but couldn't find), the stockers did their thing without blocking the aisles, and the prices were good. The pharmacy people were helpful and nice, even when being treated poorly by customers. They have a pretty good set up for the COVID shots. It's clearly make shift and would be nice if it was sound proof. But it works and they kept it moving. Though I wouldn't recommend discussing anything confidential regarding your health. You can hear every word. If I'm ever back and able to shop around and go through front register, I'll come back and update. Though I was watching as I was browsing and after during the "wait 15 mins" post-shot period. Neither of the register guys were being rude and they kept the line moving perfectly fine, with it never getting too long. Glad to see this neighborhood has a quality quick shop and restock option!

I am changing to a farther-away pharmacy because I am so tired of dealing with this one. Wait times are incredibly long even when it is not busy. The pharmacists often insist I have no prescriptions available until I pull up the app and show them I do. This back and forth has taken up to 45 minutes before.

I was glad that the staff wear the appropriate garments to keep people safe(mask etc). But their service is terrible. First I couldn't go to my Duane Reade because they didn't have the flu shot that I needed. Second I come to the one on 135th street and after giving the pharmacist my insurance information he tells me that I have to wait for someone else's insurance company to comply. My question is, if my insurance is good then why am I waiting for someone else's insurance to be validated before I get my shot. Serious problem with time management. What happened to first come first serve. Worst Duane Reade ever.

The regular staff here are usually very helpful and the pharmacist as well an African American heavyset gentlemen that he has working back there with him in the pharmacy are very pleasant and helpful as well BUT there are two older women that work behind the pharmacy counter that are extremely RUDE. When you ask them a question they respond as though you asked them for half their check. They are Never pleasant and I truly believe that they have been blessed so far to not have anybody truly go off on them for how they act because the rudeness sometimes is so bad that you really have to step back and think like am I on a hidden camera show bc this crap can not be real

Avoid this location if you can. If you need any help, it takes a long time to get someone to come over.... and it seems like everything's locked up. One of their managerial employees looked at me as I waited for a sales associate to open the case. She finally came over when no one did. There are two pleasant employees, but just not worth the trip. Go to the location at 145th St.

Their pharmacy is very helpful and usually no wait. If there is a wait, it's because I have to resolve an issue on my side first which I can do from the sidelines on the phone. The only issue I have is how the handle the FedEx pick ups which it seems a select few on the staff can do. There isn't a clear idea when the drop offs are made from the drivers at the store or where the packages are. This may be more a problem with FedEx than Duane Reade/Walgreens. Other than that, the store is spacious, well stocked and a good place to get some groceries/supplies in an area that is lacking good supermarkets. (The closest one is a small Key Food on 140th St. Most Duane Reades though don't have the wide gamete of things from a grocery store but in a pinch for milk or juice, it'll do. I go here now for my prescriptions and so far my experience has been positive. Wish this was 24 hours, then it would perfect!

Everyone in the store is pretty nice. Been going there a long time. But dont expect to ever get your prescriptions in a timely manner. Like everything and everywhere else along 125th, they're slowwwwww with how they work and will take forever. I had friend who was in major jaw pains and needed his pain killers. Waited an hour for them when the prescription had been sent two hours before that. Makes no sense. The absolute worst.

I was very disappointed to see that the Duane Reade on 125th and 8th has been closed, and this shop now has my prescription records. The pharmacy staff at this location has been quite unpleasant to me, on more than one occasion. I refuse to walk 10 blocks out of my way, just to be disrespected. My insurance provider pays over $2000 a year for my prescriptions; from now on, I will take my prescriptions elsewhere.

Pretty good pharmacy store. Has good stuff for quick meds if you are sick, has some snacks as well. Of course, everything is jacked up in terms of price, but if you are looking for something quick, this is the place to go.
