Exceptional Service and Professionalism!Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I recently visited Duane Reade and had the pleasure of interacting with one of their incredible employees, Alex,Nick,Omar, Miguel . I cannot express enough how impressed I was with his outstanding service and professionalism. From the moment I entered the store, Alex greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome.Alex knowledge of the store's products was truly remarkable. He patiently guided me through the aisles, answering all of my questions and providing valuable suggestions. Nick extensive knowledge and expertise helped me find exactly what I needed in no time. It was evident that they take pride in his work and genuinely cares about helping customers.Not only was Alex, Nick was knowledgeable, but they also displayed great patience and attentiveness throughout my entire shopping experience. They took the time to understand my needs and went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with my purchases. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to assist made me feel like a valued customer.

Show up to pick up prescription at 1:30pm during their open hours on a wednesday and the pharmacy is locked up/closed

After many years of frequenting this and other Duane Reade/Walgreens, I have deleted my account, the app and no longer plan to come here for my Rx or other needs, despite living just one block away. The locked shelves that require key access for nearly everything was frustrating enough, but the Walgreens corporate decision to no longer carry certain legal medications for family planning in specific states where the GOP has exerted political pressure pushed me over the edge. There is a CVS less than 90 seconds away. I encourage others to go there.

Quite a convenient place to shop, but because of inflation there has also been a knock on effect with the rise in shoplifting. As a consequence, it takes longer to get items as you need assistance in order to retrieve them from the shelves.

I arrived at 7:55pm today to the pharmacy that is advertised to be open until 8pm. It should have been an easy pick up before closing - i took a car from work to get there in enough time. I do not have time tomorrow to pick up my prescription and I am on a very specific treatment plan for an extremely sensitive medical condition.Upon my arrival, the entire pharmacy was caged up/closed from the public and the pharmacist stared at me through the cage like she couldn’t hear me instead of offering me help in getting my prescription since it was not yet 8pm. Thank God i don’t have a life threatening illness, but need my prescription regardless.I spoke to an associate who laughed at me when I started crying and the manager walked away. I understand if they want to save money on staffing and close at 7:45pm, but it should be advertised as such so people can plan around it and get their medicine. Anything else is negligent behavior by a medical professional.No one should be exposed to medical risk of interrupting their prescribed treatment plan so that the staff can leave 5 minutes early. The correct hours need to be updated, reflected and adhered to. This is a life safety issue.

This is by far the best Duane Reade and/or drug store experience in the greater UES area. The Pharmacists are super fast and friendly, and the store's workers are constantly tidying up shelves, cleaning, and restocking. You will notice a major difference from this location to others nearby in the best way.

Visited there on a trip and Mr. Albert, went above and beyond to help me find the items that I required. I truly believe world would be a nicer place if more people were like him. I hope he receives the appreciation and recognition he deserves.
